Holiday Isle
Butting up to the Destin harbor and downtown Destin, the Holiday Isle portion of Destin got its name for a good reason. The three mile long peninsula enjoys pristine beaches lined by sidewalks with plenty of gazebos and public beach access. Vacationers see it as a quieter way to enjoy the mesmerizing Gulf of Mexico. There isn’t much traffic and Golf carts are the favorite mode of transportation.
The beautiful Holiday Isle Park at the west end of the peninsula is a photographer’s dream, a beach bum’s haven and a boater’s paradise. Public boat access has created a favorite spot for many in Destin. Families spend the whole weekend viewing the harbor, the jetties and the emerald waters of the Gulf from this unique natural development. Dolphins can be seen quite often from the white shores and the sunsets are simply stunning.
