Blue Surf Townhomes 04

Nice place to stay. We had everything we needed and the office was very helpful, kind and courteous.

The complex was very nice. However we did not see anyone in the office while we were there. The shuffleboard equipment and several deck chairs were locked in that building the entire time. Would like to have had someone there at our check in instead of having to find the ND office. The air conditioning in that unit is old and had to keep the downstairs almost cold to get the upstairs comfortable at all. We called one of the advertisers in the book we were given by ND to rent jet skis. It listed 3 locations - one of which was down by Surfside. When we got there they didn't honor the price we were given - said that was the other 2 locations and that this location was owned by someone else. A bit of false advertising i think. They should be reported to atty General or someone.

The Blue Surf is across the street from the beach. This was known to us prior to the vacation, but the pictures and description do not tell you that you also have to cross a busy public beach parking lot to get to the beach. This is very inconvenient, especially for families with small children. The view from the balcony is of the parking lot and water, you cannot see the sand. We stayed in unit 4 which was last updated circa. 1982. It did have a washer/dryer that worked well. The layout of all the 2 bedroom units is also inconvenient. The kitchen faces the parking lot on the first floor. The guest/kids bedroom is facing beach/pool on first floor with glass doors that can easily be unlocked by small children. The master and living room were on 2nd floor and hardly used except to sleep. The upstairs tv only got 4 channels. Our brother went through a different rental co. and his unit was newly updated with granite/stainless appliances, etc. We could live with that except he paid $500/wk less. He did not get the daily free golf but did get the free beach chairs. No complaints about Newman-Dailey, very responsive to fixing problems.

This rental was decorated beautifully. It was close to the beach and to Pompano Joe's. The air conditioner worked to keep the unit very cool.

As far as Newman-Dailey goes, I do not have any problems with. Their property has always been ok. I was awaken one night with someone yelling at someone else next to our window. I do not know if it was someone staying next to us or who it was, but it was way into the night around 2:00am. Other than that, I really do not have any complaints about the room or the property. I am sure that I will stay at the Blue Surf again, except maybe on the other side instead of #4. Donnie

This was a wonderful condominium to stay in. It was decorated beautifully and family friendly. It was nice having a washer and dryer in the unit. Newman-Dailey let us check in when the unit was ready. We have been going to the Blue Surf for thirteen years. We have never been disappointed in any of the town homes. Blue Surf is across the street from the beach and Pompano Joe's Restaurant. It is conveniently located to everything. From the balcony of the unit, you have a nice view of the Gulf. Another plus, You get two complimentary chairs and an umbrella on the beach each day of your stay. We look forward to going again next year!

We've vacationed in the Destin area for more than 10 years and have stayed at the Blue Surf condos for most of that time. This unit is one of the best. It's comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped. The deck furniture is comfortable and well maintained. While I've enjoyed many wonderful vacations in the area, this year was the best!

Blue Surf is a family friendly condo . Great views of the gulf we enjoyed eating breakfast on the deck while looking out over the gulf.We would recommend this place to anyone and we are looking forward to coming back next year.
