Best Destin Vacation Ever

Because we have vacationed in Destin since our children were young, my adult children and their little ones as well as my husband and I agreed this was the best stay ever. The house was beautiful and very spacious. We were close to the beach and the swimming pool within a gated community. It was great! We will definitely return to this home if possible.

As much as I would love to review, we did not take this trip, we will plan another year.

Very nice home, but some smal issues

The house is very nice, the picture at the website dont do the house justis. It's situated in a realy nice neighbourhood with easy access to the community pool and the beach. We did not know about the white sand on the beache - it resembled snow - so beeing from Norway we felt at home.
The neighbourhood is very quiet. But one thing has to be noted about the house it self -noice travel very easely from one floor to the one below. Can be irretating if someone likes to sleep longer.
Renting to Newman Dailey was easy and secure. The only thing was that when we comented on a few problems it did not get fixed while we stayed there.
The problems was
- The icemachin was not working
- One of the knobs on the stove was broken makint it hard to turn of
- The battery on the smokedetector was flat.
It might have been a case of miscomunication. I said something like "apart from the smokedetector, it's no rush" meaning they did not have to fix it the same day, beeing a saturday - monday would have been fine. The smokedetector should have been fixted right away.
Later on we also noticed that the arecontition unit on the top level did not work. We did no call about that until we left.

This was our annual family gathering at the beach of my wife and I and our four daughters and their families for a total of 21. Great location for the beach, for dining, for the kids to do their thing in and out of the house. House very spacious and with the media room downstairs for the kids, the upstairs was left for the adults.
Certainly look forward to next year. Gated protection a plus to reduce traffic.
