Grape Escape

The house is so cute. Great decor. Very clean. The beds were comfy and the rooms are spacious. My husband especially enjoyed the lounge chair on the upstairs balcony. Very close to swimming pool and close to beach access.

This was our first visit to Destin and we really enjoyed our stay. The Grape Escape was a very pretty house in a quiet neighborhood with a neighborhood pool just a few doors down. It had wonderful porches with great double doors that opened up to the porches both upstairs and downstairs. It was very handy having laundry in the house, but bring your own soap if you are going to do more than one load. Also, load up on toilet paper. There is only enough for a day or so. We had 8 people in the house and it was comfortable. There is a good stock of kitchen ware and dishes. The walk to the beach is an easy couple of blocks. Overall, we loved staying there and would gladly rent it again.

We, a family from Germany, spent 2 weeks in the nice house. It was absent nothing. The house is furnished nicely and has lain quietly. We enjoyed the ambience at the fireplace, but also the Jacuzzi. To the beach these are only a few minutes, we also used the nearby pool. In the office of Newman-daily one received us warmly, the services very feels well We would have remained with pleasure longer and we would come again with pleasure.

We enjoyed Grape Escape. We have vacationed in Destin for 20 years, and stayed in beach houses for 17 of those years. The community pool is across the street, 4 houses down. We did put towels over the small curtains on the master bathroom windows for more privacy. Overall, the house met all of our needs and was very comfortable. The outdoor shower is nice after returning from a day at the beach! The children thoroughly enjoyed the wrap around porches.

On arrival, the kitchen was full of ants. And of course, we had food in the kitchen and the ants were trying to get in our food. We called the office and was asked if could wait till the AM. I mentioned the ants were getting in our food and would appreciate them coming that evening. Was told someone would come the next day. Also, we had to kill bugs throughout the house.

We spent four days here and had a blast! The first night wasn't quite as fun because the A/C was out.... the unit had frozen up several hours prior to our arrival. As a result we spent the entire first day and night (and most of next morning) without air conditioning. We made the most of it by opening all the doors and windows, making a few adult beverages and hanging out on the front porch where it was cooler and there was a nice beachy breeze. The property managers sent a repair man out to assess the situation within an hour and he was back about 10:30 the next morning and ready to fix it. The owner of the property also comp'd us that first night... which was fair. The house was even bigger and nicer than the pictures made it seem. It was a fabulous place! The colors were very beachy and extremely inviting. Be sure to stock up on toilet paper and paper towels when you get there because it's not provided throughout your stay; only the first roll is provided. Overall, our time there was fabulous! We were about 2 blocks from the beach, the community pool was three lots down and the heart of Destin shopping & dining was about a mile away! We highly recommend this beach house! This was our first time renting a beach house instead of a hotel and this option is also highly recommended. After dividing it out between the people staying there, the price was less than it would cost to stay at a hotel.

Very nice home. Nice area. Good neighbors. Close to shopping, movies, and restaurants. Only 2 blocks from beach and water. Beautiful area.

We've been to Destin 10-12 times and the Grape Escape has been our best rental. The crystal beach community is very similiar to the Seaside community but without the price tag and in the heart of Destin. Eventhough Destin can be very crowded it never felt that way. The grocery store was .5 mile away. The beach was walking distance. The community pool was decent size and only 3-4 doors down. All the great restaurants were within 5 minutes (Back Porch,Crab Trap, Louisiana Laniappe, Capt Dave's, etc.) The house itself was awesome. My wife and I enjoyed the oversized Master upstairs with large tub and separate shower option. Windows on all 3 sides created tons of sunlight. The kitchen and den are updated & beautiful and very large. The two bedrooms down allowed the kids to stay near one another and use the den as a late night hang out area. We used the gas grill that was available and the convenience of pulling your car right up to your front door is great versus waiting on elevators at high rise condo's. This may sound silly but one thing we liked was that the unit has a keyless entry keypad. If one of my kids had to go back to the unit to get something I wasn't nervous about them losing the keys or locking ourselves out of the house. The house is immaculate, updated, bright and very roomy. We hope to stay here next year if we decide Destin is our vacation spot.
