We thought the unit was very nice, very comfortable and we had a great time. The on-site staff were great, especially David who worked Beach Service, the location is incredibly convenient to just about every thing, the view was awesome, and the way the beach was patrolled was very impressive. We had a group of college boys come over from across the street and set up a football game. At first David just spoke to them, but it was obviously ignored. Fifteen minutes later where comes a Sheriff jeep up the beach and they are gone, never to be seen from again. For a couple looking for a place on the beach that is not "Spring Break" during out daughter's school Spring Break, this was perfect. Eric E. Reviewed on Thursday, April 01, 2010 We recently spent a week in unit 303 of The Inn
at Crystal Beach. The view was terrific, high up
enough to feel safe to leave the windows open, but
low enough to hear the surf. The unit was well
decorated and relatively clean (more about that
later).
The staff was great, especially David who was in
charge of Beach Service. I was very impressed by
how the beach is patrolled to keep things from
getting out of hand. The location is very close to
numerous restaurants and shopping, so running out
for something you forgot is not a hassle.
We did have some minor issues with the unit that
would have made our stay much better. The tub
enclosure was coated with soap scum and the jacuzzi
jets put out crud the first time they had been
used. It looked like someone dropped paper or
something into the water that was pulled into the
jets. The sliding door tracks for both the outside
doors and the master bedroom closet doors need to
be maintained, they are very difficult to open and
impossible to do so quietly if anyone is still
sleeping. The outside deck chairs could use some
type of glide on them to reduce the noise every
time they are moved. The kitchen faucet would only
shut off if the handle was positioned just right.
All in all, these were annoyances and when
combined with all the great things about this
location, still made it a very nice place to stay.
We would be more than willing to rent this unit
again, but only after checking to see if our list
of concerns have been addressed. Reviewed on Wednesday, March 31, 2010Thank you so much for posting your review. We are sorry for the problems you had during your stay and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We were able to have both sets of sliding doors adjusted and new rollers added so they work much more smoothly. We also have spoke with our housekeeping department and asked that they make sure to turn on the jets in the spa when cleaning to make sure everything is operating correctly and that the jets are cleaned out. Thank you again for taking the time to report your concerns. We look forward to your next stay with Newman-Dailey Resort Properties. Amy Turner Property Manager Response on Tuesday, May 04, 2010
