This serene escape comes with a special wish posted on a beachy sign as you enter – “May your time be filled with relaxing sunsets, cool drinks, and sand between your toes”. In other words, the tensions of life just disappear once you set your eyes on the Gulf and your feet in the sand! White plantation shutters distressed furniture, and sea foam green walls create a "Key West ambiance. Pelican and shell accessories echo the exciting and often entertaining wildlife just beyond the balcony doors. Also, the view from here is simply stunning! The owners were nice and very helpful in what to do around Destin, etc. However, when we got to our condo, the tile has a layer of grit.. entryway, hallway, kitchen, bathrooms. I swept/vacuumed, which solved the problem. Master tub had a greasy film on it, which I would have cleaned, but noticed that the tub drain plug allows the water to leak out, so stuck to the shower. Biggest problem was front door did not have a deadbolt or anything other than a knob. Our young daughter kept letting herself out. Need another layer of protection.. Only 4 washcloths in the unit for our family of 6. As my husband went to the office, I found the cleaning folks next door. Both argued that 4 washcloths were all we should have in our 2 BR unit before giving in and letting us have more. Probably will not stay here again. Paying this much for a vacation, more is expected. That being said, the view was beautiful. Reviewed on Tuesday, September 01, 2009
