Julia's Beach House

Julia's House was a beach paradise!” This home is very well kept, it is excellent repair, and it is so conveniently located. It was in walking distance to the beach and the Destin Commons and a little less than ten minutes from the Silver Sands Outlet. In other words I loved it. Stayed May 2011

In addition to the large flat screen in the living room, new bedding & mattresses added in the fall of 2010, this beautiful home has just had new granite counter tops installed in the kitchen. All new pictures coming soon.

First time in this rental property and the experience was great. Enjoyed having the garage because it rained sooo much while we were there. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. Hopefully it won't rain so much next year and we can enjoy the beach!

We had a wonderful time at Julia's Beach House. 8 of us were perfectly comfortable the entire week. The pool was heated, clean, and private. The community was peaceful. The Newman-Dailey staff was friendly and incredibly easy to work with. In fact, in the 8 years we've come to Destin this property and Newman-Dailey was the easiest experience. We plan to rent from Newman-Daily each Spring Break and would love to stay at Julia's Beach House.

The location and pricing were good. We were far from the pool, and close to the ocean. The master Bedroom Bed was awful - we called it the big hole! It should be replaced. I wanted to flip it, but it was a pillowtop, so we just moved it 180 degrees to no avail. Also, we called about the stereo and remotes - no one was able to help us. The TV (Remote) and Stereo, CD, and DVD player in the main area were not working. The TV did , but without the remote. There was a screen off of a window, kitchen counter a little beat up. The neighborhood had Police there arrested some very serious partiers - 2 homes nearby were very crazy - this was a first in 11 years for us. The mornings were very quiet, as you can imagine. The pool was nice, the 3rd floor great too, thanks.

The Newman-Dailey folks were outstanding very helpful and polite. The house is a great house located just across old 98 from the ocean while still centrally located in relation to Outlets and Restaurants. We used the free golf (San Destin Links), Golden Corral meal, and the provided beach chairs all without any trouble.

I completed the N-D questionnaire and left it on the kitchen table. Plus: Good location -- short walking distance to beach and short drive to shopping, adequate furnishings, appreciated the furnished beach chairs & umbrella; liked the front porch, roomy floor plan, outdoor shower, big kitchen table, and the four bathrooms. The check-in procedure went smooth. Although the community pool looked appealing, we did not use it. Minus: The beds need updating -- new mattresses for the two upstairs bedrooms, replace the downstairs twin with a queen, and change the bunk beds to two singles. New pillows, bedspreads, and better sheets would also be nice. Needed to turn the fridge & freezer settings to high to keep food cool and/or frozen. The garage had a terrible oder, so I moved the garbage cans outside where they should be. The front porch fan over the round glass table stopped working. Had to buy clothes hangers because none were in the house. Discount coupons: The movie rental place at the east location is no longer in business (and has been for some time). The two-for-one meal discounts at Golden Corral and Fudpuckers are meager for a large party (we had eight) -- give something worthwhile. We did use the miniature golf coupon at The Track. WE WERE DOWN IN DESTIN FOR A DOUBLE FAMILY REUNION. I RENTED THIS HOUSE BECAUSE OUR OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS WERE RENTING ON THE SAME STREET. WHAT A GREAT HOUSE THIS WAS. IT WAS VERY ROOMIE WITH PLENTY OF BATHROOMS. IT WAS WALKING DISTANCE TO THE BEACH AND EVERYTHING WAS JUST SO CONVENIENTLY LOCATED. THERE WERE PLENTY OF SLEEPING SPACE FOR A GROUP OF FRIENDS/FAMILY TO STAY.JUST BEWARE OF THIEVES IN THE AREA. OUR GPS GOT STOLEN OUT OF ONE OF THE VEHICLES. THAT WAS PROBABLY OUR FAULT FOR BEING SO TRUSTING OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD. WE SHOULD HAVE LOCKED OUR VEHICLE. JUST A BUNCH OF NAIVE TRUSTING PEOPLE FROM SAVANNAH. OTHER THAN THAT ONE INCIDENT WE HAD A BLAST. THE BEACH WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. THE FLOORS COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE CLEANER BUT IT WAS A BEACH HOUSE. WE DIDNT EXPECT MUCH MORE.THE PRICE TO RENT WAS UNREAL. SO CHEAP. JUST MAKE SURE YOU WALK THROUGH THE HOUSE ON ARRIVAL AND CALL THEM ABOUT ANY PREVIOUS DAMAGES PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. I WOULD DEFINITELY COME BACK AND STAY AT THIS HOME.

Perfect location to the beach,within walking distance. Nice community home, easy access to everything. Nicely decorated; rooms very spacious; well equiped kitchen; loved all the shelves in the garage AND everyone had their own bathroom!
