Leeward Key 802

We have stayed at Leeward Key 4 yrs. #802 is one of our favorites now. It is a corner room, large flat screen Tv's, very clean and everything we used was in working order. I am thrilled that keypad entry has been installed so we don't have to keep up with keys!

Our overall experience was most enjoyable. One concern was the cd player in the living room was not properly connected and it was not resolved until the last night of our stay. Also, when the first person came to look at the cd player (a women wearing a light blue tee shirt with Resort Quest) we asked about the beach attendant for the chairs and she point from the balcony where we should go. We presented our card to that attendant and he directed us farther down the beach. Once there we were told to pay $27 dollars because we were in the wrong spot. This was an inconvienence to say the least and an embarrassment.

We loved our condo and the great view of Destin Beach! We wish it had been warmer so we could have enjoyed the gorgeous beachside pool! Check-in people were very accomdating and we got in by 3pm.

The service we received was OK. Upon check in we were told the unit was not ready yet due to problems with the previous renter. We were not able to get in until after 5:30. The condo was nice. Was surprised to see picture had fallen off wall and were just sitting there or in the closet with holes in the wall. Nice televisions, but no directions on how to work them. Took until second day. Never could get DVD to work on main television. Lots of light bulbs out, like by washing machine so had a hard time seeing. Normally stay on second floor at an acquaintances place which is very neatly decorated and totally stocked with everything you need. We loved the view and balcony being on the 8th floor. We love Leeward Key location and pool on beach. Only real complaint was beach umbrella service. Umbrella and chairs came with the room but the beach guys were reserving all the front row chairs every day for individuals that paid directly. Was told first come/first serve. Got up at 6:30AM daily to get umbrella then walk. Only sat at the water the last 2 days after I pitched a fit to the beach guy. We will be back to Leeward Key.

It is so nice to hear that our guests love Leeward Key. It is one of my favorite also. I am very disappointed that this guest had problems that could have been avoided. We did not realize that it was difficult to operate the tvs and dvds. We will have our technicians post the instructions in the property. We stayed in the unit the last week of March. Although the weather was terrible half the week, our family was able to enjoy movies on those wonderful TV's and the view from the balcony. This unit is very tastefully decorated and we found it very comfortable. This is our second year staying in Leeward Key, and this unit was our favorite. We plan to return next year and again stay in this unit. The amenities through Newman-Dailey were also wonderful. We used the movie rental and the free tickets to the Race Track!!

Very roomy and spacious and CLEAN!! We really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and enjoying the fantastic view!! Very close to everything we needed as well. We really enjoyed our stay and are booking this summer's vacation here as well!!!
