Fabulous Vacation Experience

This was our first vacation in Destin, and we could not have asked for a better condo than Sea Winds #3. With its location right on the beach, we had breakfast every morning on one of the three decks and watched dolphins swim by. When we were not in the water or on the beach, just relaxing in the spacious, well appointed and clean condo was a treat. The beach umbrella and chairs that were set up every morning were an added bonus. We have vacationed at condos or timeshares in the past, and this was by far the best! Its four bedrooms and living area were spacious, clean, and almost like home, and the remodeled kitchen had everything we wanted. Of course the beach in Destin can't be beat, and we had a great family fishing charter with Captain Stan Phillips on The Sea Winder. Our only complaint about the condo was that the garbage can in the kitchen as well as the one outside were a little small. But that seems rather picky after such a great time.

The location of this beachfront home was perfect and the size and number of bedrooms was just what we wanted for 7 adults and 2 children. We have always loved the Destin beach area and have rented from Newman Daily multiple times over the past 12-15 years. The multilevel decks were great, gave private areas to readers and easy access to the beach. The only negative I can say about the home is the open loft master bedroom above the living and breakfast area. The beautiful sunshine came in the uncovered windows early and the early riser's voices were not muffled because of the open loft room, so if you like to sleep in then you will need to choose one of the 3 other bedrooms.
Newman Daily was Great, the Condo was not..!

We arrived at the Seawinds 3 condo to a stove that had 3 of the 4 burners not working, porch lights that did not work and an a/C unit that froze up a couple of times on the lower level. The carpet was filthy and the couch and love seat even more filthy than the carpet. The unit was outdated and 4 of the family members caught a viral infection with sore throat, headaches and eye infections. This may or may not have been due to the condo, but it certainly could have gone either way. The place was very dirty and very disappointing for the high price paid for the unit. I expected better accommodations for the money, that's for sure. We even left a day early.
However, Newman Daily as a separate issue was very responsive and did everything as quickly as possible to repair and meet our requirements on broken appliances or items in disrepair. I do highly recommend Newman Daily as their staff was very helpful and gave very certain guarantees when the oil spill could have been an issues. Thanks to them for their integrity.

We stayed at he seawinds 3 and it was beautiful place and the views were great. the sand is pretty. I would return in a warmer month as I am from Flordia and it was too cool to go into the water but well worth it.
Relaxing, But Cold

We drove up from Fort Myers to spend some after Christmas time with our son and daughter and their families. The check-in service was great, and the the condo was clean and ready to go. It is a fantastic location right on the beach, although it is starting to show it's age. Other than needing a new toaster, and a larger hot water heater, we had everything we needed. It was colder than we expected, so we didn't get to spend much time on the beach. However, there is plenty of other things to do locally, so we still had a good time. We would difinitely stay at the Seawinds again, and will without a doubt use Newman-Daily for future Destin vacation reservations.
very nice.

The only thing was the room wasn't ready at 3 for check in. When we got there they said 3-5 check-in which I had not heard of in the past. We drive a very long way to come down there and have always timed it to get there at 3 and have always been able to check in. If there is going to be a varible time on check-in there should be a varible time for check out (such as from 10-12). When paying for a day and not being able to get in until 5, is not good. Those 2 hours make a lot of difference. I know Sat is a crazy day but maybe more housekeepers should be lined up or something. Just some feedback. Other than that, we had very good service whenever we needed something from the ND office and they extended our stay by a day on the fly and were very nice about it (Betty was who I worked with on that). Worked with Landra on the original reservation and she was very easy to work with as well. Ryan was very nice too. There was another lady in the office that was pretty stressed the day we checked in...but like I said, I know Sat. are crazy days!

This years rental location was wonderful because is was right on the beach, but the actual unit did have some issues. We had problems with the garbage disposal leaking out water from under the sink, which someone came out 2 days later to install a new one, but cluttered up the kitchen during the day and he didn't have all the parts he needed to complete the job, so left a small mess and then came back to repair, but it still leaked the remander of our stay. He was nice though...:) The ice maker was old and dated and made very little ice. The washer had to be rigged everytime we washed as well. The trigger button that pushes in when the hatch closes would stick and you would have to pop it with your finger. The washer has seen it better days. The televisions were very small and we had internet connection issues, the server had to be rebooted after 3 days of no service. The upstairs bedroom was nice but being open to the 2nd floor was not convenient for our party. On the plus side, there were several beach toys there to use and enjoy and it was a very convenient location. I would never not recomend this out of respect, but we will not rent this unit again. Thanks, Patty Desonie
Lot's of room and beautiful beach area, but could use minor reno

We stayed in Seawinds 3 for a week. The beach was clean, quiet and beautiful. The free beach service and large decks were great. Other areas of the beach can get quite crowded, but we did not have this problem. The wifi and grill were bonuses. The townhome was large and spacious. The a/c worked great, and all the furnishings were adequate. However, I would suggest some minor repairs. First, the upstairs shower needs better cleaning, it had mildew on the sliding door and inside the faucet handles. Second, some of the closet doors are rusty and need repair. Third, the bathroom door on the second floor sticks. Fourth, the cabinets in the kitchen need to be refinished (looks like they may have went through a few hurricanes). Lastly, many of the closets, kitchen cabinets, and bathroom cabinets on all floors need to be replaced or cleaned better as they smell like mildew (maybe due to hurricane damage). We would probably rent this unit in the future again despite these minor problems.
Seawinds #3

Seawinds #3 is a great location- walking distance to lots of basic needs-coffee, pizza, convenience store, Pompano Joe's restaurant. The townhouse overall is in very good condition and very clean and I am picky about my accomodations. One issue for us was that the master BR is a loft type-very open and spacious but not exactly what we needed. It is truly steps from the beach which was awesome. The minor problems that we incurred with townhouse were promptly dealt with by Newman Dailey- lock didn't work, a/c unit, etc. The maintenance guy was there in 30 minutes or less. I am very impressed with the service we received and will absolutely rent from them again!
