Serenity In Misty Village

We had our family of 6 and 2 other families of 4. Tons of space to move around, never crowded. The pool was awesome, that really saved us with small kids and not wanting to travel to the beach everyday. The carpet is pretty worn and some minor updating wouldn't be bad but overall it was a great week. I'd like to be closer to the beach but we knew going in it was about 300 yards away. Thanks Newman Daily, you are awesome to work with and I continue to tell all my friends how awesome you are.

The main house was pretty good, the beach house was just ok, Both places could have been cleaner and the upkeep needed much improvement. Some of the children has to sleep on the floor for two nights, hide away couch was broke and took two days to get someone to get us something to sleep on after we kept requesting something be done. Numerous items for both houses needed repaired or replaced. The pool was not cleaned or checked one time during our stay, they said their schedule was not correct in the computer so they never came. We were told they would stop by but never happened. The back yard and pool area needed to be maintained, the lounge chairs were very dirty and some were broken.

We loved the place overall. There are a few things I think the place needs such as the following Upgrades/Replacing: Pillows Chaise Lounges (didnt get to use as they were broke) Upstairs Carpet Yard is in definite need of some TLC, the schrubs and beds and landscaping needs shaping up as it looks overgrown and the backyard is a great place so dont let it go much longer without the cleanup. The kitchen has great small appliances however, we left our quesadilla maker there. The place is spacious and great for kids and adults as there are 2 living areas for there to be adult time. Loved our trip!

The service by Newman-Dailey was great.The beach is just a short walk away. The pool house is nice. The inground pool was used alot by the kids. The only problem was the tree by the main house kept shedding its flowers in the pool. That tree needs to be replaced with a different type of tree. The main house needs a little bit of remodeling.

We found Serenity to good for the value, as a last minute booking we were pleasently surprised at the quality and niceness of the unit. The private pool was great and warm, the beach was a short walk away, and the poolhouse unit was really pleasing serving as getaway but not really being away. Our only problem is that the homes electronics need serious updating. The refridgerators did not get cold enough to really cool things correctly, the main house stereo system has major volume control issues, and the pool house gaming station, and all the tv's need to be brought into the new era that is flat screens and playstation. Oh yeah, LANDSCAPING TRIM!!! Overall it was nice. TRY IT.

Serenity was the perfect vacation home for a large family like ours. The cabana house was perfect for a little privacy. The kids loved the pool almost as much as the beach. It was so convenient to just walk to the beach. Having the restaurant right there on the beach was perfect too! Highly reccomend it! Just perfect.

I am sorry to say this vacation was somewhat of a let down for our family. We have rented Serenity in the past and loved it but it has not been maintained. Upon arrival we all noticed that the upstairs carpet had not even been vacumed. The kitchen was is need of a real cleaning. The bathrooms were well maintained. The pool, yard, and pool furniture all need repair or more upkeep. We began looking for other properties during our stay in September because we knew we would not feel comfortable renting this home again. I did talk to a very understanding lady in the office and expressed our feeling to her early in our stay. This venting helped me but did not change the situation. By Thursday the pool was unuseable. We called the office and the office promply sent out a pool service worker. This was appreciated but the pool problem left our family without the use of the pool on our last days of vacation. This was added to the list of disappointments in Serenity House.

This was probably the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. The house and pool was perfect. We all had a hard time staying out of the pool. Didn't go to the beach much since Ike was making the waters rough. I could have easily stayed longer if I didn't have to go back to work. My husband and I are planning on renting this one again for our anniversary. I highly recommend this rental.
