the toilet in the upstairs master wouldn't flush and the dryer wouldn't dry the clothes. Other then a few minor things the location was great. It was really nice to have the pool there even though we spent lots of time at the beach.

The house was roomy, clean and well equipped. There was even a martini glass.
The house and pool was ideal for our group with young children. Having the separate carriage house meant that someone could slip away for a quiet nap or work time.
The rental office staff was excellent. We did have to call them several times during our stay and they responded quickly and effeciently. We would definitely stay here again.

I have some positive things to say about the property White Gable and I would like to point out that it was one of the few properties I found that was excellent for a large group of couples. It's really hard to find a place that has as many rooms as White Gable without a bunch of twin beds. Hopefully the review will help other couples looking to have a retreat.

The house and the guest house was very roomy with lots of room for people to sleep. But when it came time to eat, there was just so little room for people to sit and eat. We were forced to send some to couches, outside and to stand around the bar. If a place is going to sleep 15-18, then you should be able to sit more than 4-6 at the table. Big flaw. We enjoyed the accommodations but there were a number of things wrong with the place: Toilet did not flush well; refrigerator leaked and not clean when we arrived; toaster in both houses did not toast completely; broken and dangerous wooden steps on rear porch by pool - dangerous - one of us stepped on a nail; A/C vents are filthy; Spider webs on lighting fixtures; since there is no room to eat inside, need more tables outside; no potholders in kitchen; pictures were off hangers on several walls; BBQ pit in bad condition - the place was advertised as having two and there was only one, we had to request the second and it took a while a several calls to get it; food found on window sills and under mattresses when we arrived. So all in all with the disrepair and the fact that it was not very clean, we were somewhat disappointed in the stay.

We stayed at White Gable over spring break with two other families, totaling 15 adults and children. The house was very roomy and the pool house was a great addition. The walk to the beach wasn't bad at all and we were a short drive away from everything Destin has to offer. The house isn't brand new, so there are a few things that need attention. The back porch could use a freshening up, as splinters got a couple of our little ones when they were running around barefoot. There were plenty of college students having a very good time, but other than some bass throughout the evening they did not have any impact on our vacation. The heated pool was a great amenity and kept the kids entertained in the evenings.
We love the Destin area, but won't request the White Gable.

We have been going to Destin for 15 years and love the area. However, the White Gable needed some upgrading. All of the appliances need to be replaced. Especially the dryer. Having the carriage house was great for the four teenage girls though. The nearest public beach access is very sub-par for this neighborhood. The homes in this area have to share approximately a 50 ft. area on the beach. The house was spacious enough for three families but several things were broke or did not work good. We will continue to visit the Destin area, but won't request the White Gable again. Thanks.

The house was a great value for the money. We had plenty of space and it was a very short walk to the beach. The only downside is given the size of the house and number of people it holds, there wasn't much table space for the large group to eat together or enough seating in the living room area for the rainy times. We did enjoy our stay!

The main house with the carriage house and the pool between made it a great place to stay. It is only a short walk to the beach. The beach was in excellent shape and reminded us of our trip to Cancun with the beautiful white sand. It is a great place to bring your family because the adults can stay in one house while the grandkids and their families can stay in the other.
The only negative was the ASI card which only allowed two names on the card to receive amenities. We should be allowed to put any two of the adults on the card because the younger parents would probably use the card more than we grandparents. We did not use the card for that very reason and Newman-Dailey would not allow us to change the names.
We will probably make this trip again next year because all of our grandkids loved it and wanted to stay in their new home.

We recently stayed in White Gables. The home is in very close proximity to the beach. The home was clean and met all of oour needs. This is the second or third time we have vacationed through Newman-Dailey and we have never been disappointed! We will continue to return to the Destin area for many years to come!!!

We had 4 families stay at both houses. While we knew there was only 1 Washer/Dryer unit, we were disappointed in the size of the washer and the length of time it took to dry clothes. Should have a unit in each house.
Pool deck and pool side of both houses needed to be power washed.
We ate in a lot and grilled every night. We were disappointed to find the gas in the grill low. We had to fill it. This should be checked every couple rentals.

We just returned home from a week of relaxation in Destin, Fl. We stayed at White Gable vacation rental by Newman-Dailey, this was our second rental with N-D. We had a great time, enjoyed the private pool,this house has lots of room to spread out.We had 8 adults and 3 children and never were crowded the whole week. There are 2 outdoor showers to wash off after a day at the beach(about 1 block away).We only had 1 issue all week and that was the telephone did not work,we called the office with our cell and reported the problem but it was not resolved when we left. Overall good experience we will return with Newman-Dailey again next year for round three.

We had a large group and this property was perfect. There are 2 separate houses and a pool located between. We had a great time! The beach was in close walking distance, the neighborhood is quiet, and with the pool at the house, the children were always entertained. We had a large group, 10 adults and 8 children, but never felt crowded. The property is also conviently located to shopping and entertainment.

We stayed here as a vacation for 10 teenagers and 4 adults and it was awesome. We had alot of space and everything we needed was on site. This was our second time staying with Newman Dailey but at different properties. But each time was a unforgetable experience. I have referred friends and family and no one had anything negative to say.

We rented this house because it provided us with what we needed and was a great choice. Our daughter was getting married on August 30th and we needed a house with a separate cottage that allowed the couple their privacy. We had the pool to keep everyone happy and it was close enough to the beach that we didn't have a long walk. The only suggestion I could give is that the yard needs some work. Dead trees in the front yard and some grass around the pool that needed to be trimmed, but those were very minor. No one really noticed it. The house was big enought that we held an after wedding party there in which about 35 people showed up. We had plenty of room both inside and by the pool. I would stay there again in a heart beat.
