Remember Timeless Fall Moments With A Donna Burgess Print From Silver Sands

                 For the past eight years, Burgess has portrayed the essence of the beautiful fall season in her Autumn Tides artwork. Named Beaches of South Walton’s 2008 Artist of the Year, Burgess is currently partnering with Silver Sands on a new series of artwork, “Autumn through the Artist’s Eyes”, for the eighth annual Autumn Tides Month.

                 “Each year, our shoppers can’t wait to see Donna’s latest inspiration translated into a stunning piece of artwork. For this current series, we wanted to show a completely different perspective on a traditional scene,” said Traci Stokes, Marketing Director for Silver Sands.  “It will compliment her other Autumn Tides artwork but definitely offer something unique and fun.”

                 This year’s print, “Autumn Afternoon”, is the second in Burgess’ third series of artwork portraying the unforgettable fall scenes only found in Beaches of South Walton.  She continues the reoccurring theme of beach scenes with fun sandcastles made out of the sugar white sand unique to the Gulf Coast. In the lower right corner is the beginning of an artist sketch of the scene in front of her.  From the eyes of an artist, Burgess uses a palette of vibrant colors such as turquoise blue, yellow and orange.

                 “This is specifically from an artist’s perspective going through the process of depicting the first images of a fall season. Imagine yourself in the scene, peering over the artist’s shoulder to get a sneak peak of her work,” stated Burgess.

                  “Autumn Afternoon” is available exclusively at Silver Sands Shopper Services from October 1-31. Shoppers also have the opportunity to meet Donna Burgess and have their print personally autographed at two special artist signings.
