this is the second review, not sure what happened to the first. House needs to have a few basics atended to. Upstairs oven is VERY temperamental and no one told us. Needs to be repaired or replaced. Downstairs master br has very poor ac flow. Probably needs a separate unit or window ac to be comfortable. Pots and lids need to be matched up (couldn't find lids for pots). Blender broken and can opener very hard to use. Bought another one but think we bought the same cheap one which is very hard to use. Handymen who service the property were wonderful! Replace outside burned out light bulbs. Needed for safety when going up and down stairs at night.

The Pink Palace served as a wonderful place for our daughter's wedding. With the addition of 2 tents and beautiful plants and simple but elegant decorations, we were able to host a wonderful reception party afterwards. The key is a great wedding planner/ chef who linked us with other great vendors. We also were able to get terrific musicians. The weather was gorgeous. The home served us well. It is in need of updating but the upstairs section is great and the location is wonderful We truly enjoyed our time there.

after 10 years of marriage we wanted to renew of vows. I knew I wanted a beach front "sunset" theme,so after some exensive research, Destin was the ticket. The Palace was a great place to share the occasion with close family & friends. Everything turned out spectacular. We will definitely be back to Destin. Thanks Newman Daily

Spectacular views from the upstairs living room and master bedroom, but the property has some "issues". The property badly needs an update in decor and general maintenance. The master bedroom blinds will not roll up so unless you want to roll up the blinds manually forget the view from two of the four windows. The cold water tap in the upstairs kitchen trickles because the faucet bumps against the countertop on the bar. To use the oven is a four-step process -- turn on oven, wait 30 seconds, turn on top two burners, wait 10 seconds, check to see if it's on. The master bedroom bath is an "open floor plan", including the master water closet. Don't expect privacy except by using the bedroom door. THIS IS NOT A HOUSE. It is a duplex. We had 16 people, so we needed all seven bedrooms. But to move between the top and lower floors we had to go outside. There is no inside stairwell. Luckily, we saw these drawbacks as "quirks" and didn't take the inconvenience too seriously. And the views, and upper living area are amazing. We had a great time, but would have liked to be prepared. This home is overpriced for the condition it's in.

We appreciate comments from our guests even if there are issues. Pink Palace is one of our most requested beach front homes. The owner has worked very hard during the last year to upgrade and refresh the furnishings and d?cor. It still takes a lot of TLC to maintain a house of this caliber. The spacious floor plan offers plenty of room and privacy. You can not possibly be any closer to or see a more spectacular view of the gulf than you do from Pink Palace. Wonderful! ?Very spacious. Perfect for multiple families or groups. ?This beautiful home is centally located. ?Minutes away from shopping dining water and amusement parks. ?Our vacation could not have been more enjoyable!

Was looking for a place to stay with my wife and new baby and daughter and came across the pink palace in Destin. ?Very kid friendly and we all had a great time of memories. ?Will be our yearly famlily place to go to each year to mark our family growing and having great times to share. ?Great place to stay.

The Pink Palace was such a great place to stay. ?It was beautiful well kept ?and felt like our home away from home. ?It is now the only place i would consider staying in the whole pan handle area of Florida. ?I met my brother and his family there and there was room for all of us to enjoy with sapce to spare and you cant beat the beach right out your door and its location to everything in the area. ?Didnt want to leave. ?I work in the desination resort industry and I was very pleased with everthing about the Pink Palace. ?I didnt want to leave and cant wait to go back.! ?Everyone should stay here.

We just got married on the beach in Destin and had 17 people staying at the house. ?It was the perfect place to stay. ?There was plenty of room for everyone. ?We are already talking about coming back there next year!!!

As a family vacation this house was the perfect place! ?Fantastic view peaceful setting and an excellent facility! A very kid friendly environment. ?With a 10 person party - you would hardly know there was any one in the house. ?Looking forward to our family vacation next year. ?We have started a family tradition. ?Well book a year in advance for our week in paradise! Absolutely loved this property!

This is a wonderful beach front property with the best views and only a few steps to the beach. ?The house is so roomy and the kitchen is fully stocked for gourmet entertaining. ?I love the two separate living areas. ?It gives much more privacy if multiple families are traveling together. ?Its great for kids with the decks and perfect for outdoor entertaining. ?Not to mention the surf fishing is absolutely fabulous. ?I would definitely recommend this home if you want a wonderful vacation experience

The best location in Destin. Private clean beach very few other people around except other private homeowners. Five minute ride to activities for kids and adults. Target grocery stores restaurants and other shopping/amenities seconds away. (We staying down in Seaside last trip and it was too far out/away if you want to do anything else but sit on beach.) Perfect house to stick the kids on the lower level for some privacy and adult time upstairs (like renting two separate homes alltogether)! Or great for two different families to share. Enjoyed the large decks for dinner parties and entertaining - with stunning views of the gulf and sunsets. Nice flat screen TVs and Tvs in most rooms DVD players were a blessing with the kids.

We stayed here in July of 2006. ?Not too many complaints although it did need better maintenance on the deck--loose boards and we wished it had some shade! ?Kitchens were not as fully equiped as we had hoped. ?Needed to get ?bags for the trash compactor. ?The master bedroom upstairs has a bathroom but no doors hence no privacy! ?There was a shortage of silverware but that should be taken care of by the timd we arrive this summer. ?Our family has little interest in the golfing water park etc.--wish the price was lower and fewer of the perks we dont want!

We stayed in this home over spring break 2007. ?This home is poorly maintained and very few appliances/kitchen items works. ?Customer Service upon check in was extremely rude. ??For $5000.00 a week I would expect enough table settings for 20 people (only 4 plates). ?Only about half of the light fixtures work with the other half having no light bulbs. ??Only one set of washer/dryer actually worked. ?Not very clean on the inside. ?This home needs updated!! ?Outside of the is not painted or maintained at all. ?I would not recommend this home and would not stay with this company again. ?The location was great as far at the beach access.

This is a beautiful beach house! ?We were 10 women on vacation ready to party shop and relax - which is exactly what we did! ??We love the red light downstairs - it helped us find our way home at night. We cant wait to come back!
