  this unit has a terrific location right on the beach and close to many stores, restaurants,etc. we were very shocked to find that the bottom floor (beach level) bedroom could not be accessed from the main unit without going outside and down the stairs. we rented a 3 bedroom specifically so our 2 very young children would have their own rooms, but could not place one of our children in a room that was totally separate from our unit. We had to end up sharing a room with our baby, which was ok, but we had paid for a 3 bedroom and only were able to use 2 of them. the unit was moderatly clean. the ceiling fan in the upstairs bedroom didn't work and the main problem was that you could not lock the sliding door that lead to the patio, except from the inside. this meant you couldn't lock it and then return through that door from the beach, unless you chose to walk down the beach a short distance, go up the public beach access and then walk down the street to access the unit from the front door. so, we called newman daily and they switched us to another unit that was available in the same complex so that we would be able to lock our unit while enjoying the beach. the other unit was fantastic although we had the same issue with the beach level bedroom. overall, the unit 1A worked out great for us despite the unexpected findings. Reviewed on Thursday, June 25, 2009We have stayed at the Costa Del Sol units for years, and while most units are great, this is not one of them. Everything in the unit screamed cheap & not maintained. The wallpaper was peeling from the walls, black mold coming out of the A/C vents, doors wouldn't lock, the kitchen pan's were dented and unable to even cook an egg. The unit was very dirty, even to the point where we wouldn't let our daughter play on the floor.
The bottom unit was better, condition wise, but just outside the unit was a large amount of discarded beach trash. Just crap tossed on top of crap. Old floats, tubes, kites, etc.
All of the outdoor furniture is either falling apart, or about to. The only exception was the cheap chairs from Win Dixie.
We plan on staying at Costa Del Sol next year, just not this unit. This one unit gives the entire complex a very bad name. If I was the other owners, I would be making sure this owner cleaned up this unit! Reviewed on Sunday, June 21, 2009This unit was perfect for our needs. We stayed 3 weeks, and had a constant flow of family and friends join us. Having 3 separate bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, plus added room if needed, was a key to comfort. Bing located directly on the beach, and having access to beach toys, chairs, and umbrellas was icing on the cake. The 3 decks/patios were all used,and enjoyed. The owners have done a wonderful job of ensuring top creature comforts. I hope all who rent this unit in the future enjoy it as much as we did -- and do their part to maintain it in the condition the owners have established.
