New Restaurant DIG in Sandestin

Locals and visitors along the Emerald Coast enjoy eating fresh locally grown and caught delicacies. Now, there's another great new casual  dining restaurant opening in the South Walton - Destin area. We’re excited to share that DIG, which stands for Dig In Gulf, is opening in March at the Market Shops at Sandestin.

DIG is a family-friendly, café style eatery. Perfect for breakfast, lunch or an early dinner, the menu at DIG consists of fresh salads, sandwiches and protein entrees. Parents will enjoy the convenience of a play area for small children within the restaurant. Owners Brian and Monique Murphy are a culinary dream team. Chef Brian’s resume boasts 20 years with Emeril’s Restaurant before moving on to serve as Executive Chef of Fish Out of Water restaurant at Watercolor Inn & Resort for eight years. Monique’s resume includes culinary experience with Emeril’s Restaurants and Walt Disney World Resort. Along with delicious menu items, the restaurant will offer cooking lessons and a healthy selection of gourmet “Grab and Go” meals.

The Market Shops at Sandestin have been recently renovated and provide a convenient location for upscale restaurants and shops. Recently, Bijoux opened in the Market Shops, leaving its long-time location in the Village of Baytowne Wharf. With Chef Jack McGuckin in the kitchen, Bijoux’s menu features the freshest Gulf seafood, prime steaks and an award-winning wine list. The fine dining restaurant also features an intimate lounge with full bar complete with a large selection of specialty martinis.

It’s a great time to rediscover the Market Shops at Sandestin. If you haven't reserved your South Walton or Destin vacation rental for spring, now is the time to start planning. View our available Destin rentals online or call one of our helpful vacation specialists at 1-800-225-7652.

See you @ The Beach for fresh eats!
