Wine Festivals to Family Festivals at the Beach this Weekend

 If you’re headed to the beach this weekend, you’re in for a real treat. For wine lovers, we’re celebrating the South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival and the Destin Charity Wine Auction. For families, there’s tons of action packed fun.

Here’s the line-up for wine enthusiasts, craft beer drinkers and foodies:
On Friday (4/24), from 4 – 6 p.m. the Winemakers and Shakers will be held at Wine World in Destin (across from Destin Commons). From 6 – 9 p.m., it’s the Craft Beer & Spirits Jam at the Town Center at Grand Boulevard. Try some of the region’s best craft beers as well as delectable treats from area restaurants ($50/pp).

On Saturday and Sunday (4/25-4/26), from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. it’s the SoWal Wine Festival Grand Tasting at Grand Boulevard, includes wine tasting seminars, tasting more than 800 wines, champagne lane, Savor South Walton Culinary Village and Nashville Songwriters Showcase ($85/pp).

Action packed fun for families:
On Friday and Saturday (4/24-4/25), Bulls on the Beach will be held at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island and feature one of the biggest and best bull-riding shows in the Southeast. Families will love the professional bull riders, fireworks and kid’s fun zone. 

Also on Friday and Saturday (4/24-4/25), families can celebrating Native American culture during Musical Echoes Native American Flute Festival. The line-up including 13 performers, unique arts & crafts and fascinating workshops.

Continue the fun on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. (4/24-4/25) by enjoying Bart Rockett’s Spectacular Magic Show, including Illusion, Ventriloquism and Comedy! Held at HarborWalk Village, families will witness original, never-before-seen illusions in the Emerald Grande’s intimate custom designed state-of-the-art theater.

On Sunday (4/26), families can take part in the 10th Annual Kids Fishing Rodeo in Grayton Beach off Hwy 30A. From 12 – 4 p.m., young anglers will be invited to line the shore and haul in their catch. The first 150 kids will receive a rod and reel combo provided by Fish Florida, pompano rigs and shrimp provided by Yellowfin Ocean Sports, a beach rod holder by Ferguson Water Works and t-shirt from Samuel Taylor Homes. $15 to fish and become a youth member of the Coastal Conversation Association of Florida.
