First Annual 30A Blue Crab Festival, Oct. 8

Who loves blue crabs? We do! We're excited to announce the first Annual 30A Blue Craab Festival will be held at Trebeache in Blue Mountain Beach, Oct. 8, 2016. One of our favorite local restaurants, Trebeache, is located in Redfish Village near many of our Blue Mountain Beach rentals, including Sanctuary at Redfish.

The 30A Blue Crab Fest will feature local food, music & art, and celebrates the 30A lifestyle. This event will benefit the South Walton Artificial Reef Association (SWARA). SWARA is dedicated to deploying & monitoring publicly permitted living reefs off South Walton's beaches for the benefit, education, & enrichment of residents, visitors, & marine habitat. The current reef has been deployed off Grayton Beach State Park and is quickly becoming a home for a diverse array of marine life. 

The 30A Blue Crab Fest will feature live music, entertainment, crab tournaments for the kids, including crab races, crab wrestling and catch your own crab tank. Adults will enjoy the cooking demos, and of course,  ALL YOU CAN EAT LOCAL BLUE CRAB! 

The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 8 from noon to 8 p.m. The entry fee is a $5 donation to SWARA, which will be collected at the gate on event day. Activies are free and blue crab prepared in a wide variety of styles will be available for purchase. Learn more online at 30acrabfest.com.
