Healthy Living Expo, Jan. 5

Now that we've asked, the suggestions are flying in from the team for Destin activities, South Walton and Destin restaurants, and Destin events that support a healthy lifestyle.

On Sat., Jan. 5, our friends at White-Wilson Medical Center are hosting the first ever 5k Run/Walk. This event will kick off the Ft. Walton Beach Chamber's Annual Healthy Living Expo. The race begins at 8 a.m. at the Saint Mary Parish Life Center in Fort Walton Beach.

After the run, or stroll as the case may be, there will be an after-party and awards ceremony. For more tips on healthy living in Destin, Fla., stick around and check out the Healthy Living Expo for lots of suggestions that support your New Year's Resolution.

For those that need more time to plan, next up is Destin's Bayou, Bay & Back 5K, 10K and Half Marthon on Sat. Jan. 26.
