Delicious Fall Events, Taste of the Beach 2013

We can't help but love fall weather at the beach. Comfortable temperatures and blue skies create the perfect setting for delectable fall events in South Walton and Destin, Fla.

 In South Walton, Taste of the Beach, Nov. 1-3, includes a wonderful weekend of deliciously fun events. A collaboration between the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce and Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF), Taste of The Beach combines culinary offerings by renowned chefs and area restaurants with wine tastings, artistic events, and live music. This year’s exciting schedule includes:
  • Al Fresco Reserve Tasting (Fri) at Ruskin Place in Seaside features reserve wines and chamber music while guest dine on sushi and hors d'oeuvres prepared by acclaimed Chef Jim Shirley.
  • Taste of the Beach After Dark (Fri) at Gulf Place in Santa Rosa Beach will include live music, local cuisine and signature cocktails developed by area mixologists.
  • Seeing Red Wine Festival (Sat) at Seaside is an annual tradition, which allows attendees to immerse themselves in wine and culinary bliss. Meet vintners and wine aficionados to learn about the latest wine trends and offerings while chef demos will take place throughout the day at the Savor South Walton Culinary Pavilion.
  • Taste of The Beach Charity Wine Auction (Sun) in Miramar Beach  is the weekend's fabulous finale, featuring a wine tasting and silent auction to benefit children in need throughout Northwest Florida. Ticket price* is only $35 and guests will enjoy wine, cocktails and appetizers while bidding on fantastic silent auction items.

Next up, chocolate lovers rejoice! The 24th Annual Chocoholic Frenzy Market & Silent Auction takes place Nov. 24 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Fort Walton Beach . Presented by the Fort Walton Beach Woman's Club, attendees will enjoy a tasting of fresh homemade chocolate treats while starting their holiday shopping at the silent auction, which benefits a variety of Northwest Florida charities.
