Sandestin Gumbo Festival This Weekend!

There is never a shortage of things to do in Destin, Fla. and February features some of the best Emerald Coast events of the year. This weekend we celebrate the best of the bayou at the 24th annual Sandestin Gumbo Festival.

On Saturday, gates open to the Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin at noon, featuring 19 teams competing for the "People's Choice Award" for best gumbo on the Emerald Coast. Dark or light roux? Chicken, sausage or seafood? What's your favorite?

The gumbo will be flowing while live music from the Dikki Du and the Zydeco Krewe, bringing a New Orleans vibe to the Village. Tickets to Saturday’s main event are available for $25 at the event. Visit www.sandestingumbofestival.com or call 850-267-7778 for more information.
