Expanded Air Service to Destin, FL

We're always excited to hear about new ways for our guests to get to the beach faster.  The Destin Airport recently announced that Southern Airways Express will offer flights between Destin and Memphis, Oxford, Miss., Birmingham and New Orleans. The Memphis-based airline will use turboprop nine-seat Cessna Caravans to transport passengers.

I n other positive news, the Northwest Florida Daily News recently reported that the airport director at the Northwest Florida Regional Airport (VPS) has his sights set on some exciting new routes, including direct air service from Destin to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. He's also eyeing Florida cities including Miami and Orlando as well as possible direct flights to Salt Lake City, UT and New York.

 In the meantime, there are still many non-stop, direct flight options from the Northwest Florida Regional Airport to cities across the U.S. including Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte and Washington DC via American Eagle, United Airlines, Delta Airlines and US Airways.
