Farmer's Markets in Destin and South Walton, Florida

Welcome to the beach! We’re delighted to be welcoming so many families for a getaway to beaches of South Walton and Destin, FL. While you’re here, we want to help make this a healthy getaway with lots of R&R, fresh air, quality time with family and friends, exercise and healthy eating.

In conjunction with the fresh and local movement that has spread around the country, local farmers are joining together to open farmer’s markets from the Destin Harbor to Rosemary Beach. So when the kids call out “Mom/Dad, I’m hungry,” you’ll have a stocked pantry of fresh, local produce and probably some other fun locally made treats as well!

Here’s a round-up of Farmer’s Markets along Florida's Emerald Coast:

If you’re coming in on Hwy 331, you’ll pass Cypress Cattle Co. in Freeport, FL, which features fresh, seasonal produce straight from their farm and is an easy stop on the way in.

The Destin Harbor Farmers' Market is open on Saturday’s from 10am-2pm and is located at 314 Harbor Blvd. (US Hwy. 98) between Boshamps and Dewey Destin (Harbor Location).

If you’re staying along Scenic Hwy 30A, there are numerous farmer’s markets held throughout the weekend. On Saturday’s from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Seaside Farmer’s Market can’t be beat. Featuring local growers, bakers and crafters, the Seaside Farmer’s Market has a wealth of local produce and products (great for gifts), ranging from organic chicken and duck eggs to organic preserves and produce to handcrafted soaps and local honey.

On Sunday’s from 9 a.m. to noon, the Gulf Place Farmer’s Market features fresh produce and organic products.  The 30A Farmers’ Market is also held every Sunday (Memorial Day-Labor Day) from 9am to 1 pm in Rosemary Beach, featuring fresh from the farm veggies, (even Aquaponic veggies), fruits, eggs, beef, chicken and sausages. They also have crabcakes, fresh tomato and apple-blueberry pies, tuna and shrimp dips, veggie dips, hummus and pita. Enjoy Spanakopita (Greek Spinach Pie), Baklava, and Chicken Curry or freshly made breads, pastries, desserts, fudge and candy. There is also a great selection of jams, preserves, BBQ sauce, honey, hot sauces and more.

Seascape Farmer's Market is the area's newest addition. Open on Tuesdays from 1-6 p.m. at Seascape Resort in Miramar Beach, Seascape Famer's Market features fresh produce and local products.

So be sure to make a separate list for produce. We know you’ll enjoy Northwest Florida’s fresh produce and our local farmer’s will appreciate your support.  To book your summer South Walton or Destin vacation rental, call 1-800-225-7652 or view our selection of premier Florida beach vacation rentals online.
