Cooking Demonstration at Le Creuset at Silver Sands

One of the best parts of living along and visiting Florida’s Emerald Coast is the abundance of fresh Gulf seafood. We delight in each passing season: red snapper season, cobia season, grouper season, flounder season and the list goes on.

For visitors and snowbirds in town this week, our friends at 30AEats.com, V Seagrove and Le Creuset at Silver Sands Premium Outlets are teaming up to share tips on cleaning, preparing and cooking fresh Florida Gulf Coast seafood. The event will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015 at the Le Creuset store at Silver Sands Premium Outlets in Miramar Beach.

Executive Chef David Cunningham of V Seagrove will be demonstrating the proper technique for cleaning and preparing fresh Gulf flounder. This delicious light flaky fish beautifully complements many side items so Chef Cunningham will also be preparing some of his favorite recipes.

Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Chef Cunningham attended culinary school at Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, S.C. and then earned a Bachelor’s degree from University of New Orleans. He also trained under the late Chef Jamie Shannon at the famed Commander’s Palace and has been a guest chef at the James Beard House in New York. By the end of this special demonstration, Chef Cunningham will have prepared Gulf Flounder Paupiette with Pecan “Grand Isle” Rice Stuffing, Fennel Saffron Broth, Pan Roasted Root Vegetables and Winter Kale.
