Destin Lifeguards Named National Champions

Beach safety is one of our top priorities. We welcome families from around the globe each year and want to be sure they have a safe and special experience during their stay in Destin, Florida.

In addition to educating families on the flag warning system, we appreciate having the team of Destin lifeguards watching over guests from March through September at Destin public beach access points. We've always known they are great but now so does the nation!

The Destin Beach Safety Lifeguards were named National Champions in Division B (100 employees or less) at the 2015 Nautica United States Lifesaving Association National Lifeguard Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Destin team was made up of 25 team members (15 men & 10 women). In addition to the team win, several lifeguards took home individual awards.

We are very proud of these athletes and are thrilled to know they help keep vistors safe during the spring and summer seasons. Destin has a more than a dozen lifeguarded public beach access points along the Emerald Coast. Lifeguard hours and season launch and end dates vary depending on the year.
