Bloody Mary Festival, Sept. 19

Along the Emerald Coast, we celebrate an abundance of wine and culinary festivals. And on Sept. 19, the Market Shops at Sandestin will add a new one. The inaugrual Bloody Mary Festival will be held from noon to 3 p.m. this Saturday at the Market Shops at Sandestin.

Attendees will enjoy unlimited tastes of 15 of the Emerald Coast’s most creative and innovative Bloody Marys made with Cathead Vodka and served by the finest restaurants and bars in the Florida Panhandle. Competing restaurants include Bijoux Restaurant & Spirits, Brotula’s Seafood House & Steamer, Bud & Alley’s, DIG eatery, Great Southern Café, Louis Louis, Mama Clemenza’s, NOLA Boiling Company, Signature Catering of 30A, Stinky’s Fish Camp, Sunset Bay Café, The Beach House, The Bowery on Thirty-A, The Craft Bar and The Perfect Pig.

Each ticket will include one vote for the People’s Choice Award for “Best Bloody Mary” in South Walton. The event will also feature live music by local band Sound Advice, and food for purchase by area restaurants. Guests will also enjoy a mimosa bar by Coastal Wine and Spirits and frosty brews by Grayton Beer Company.

And since we're in the South, college football rules. So for Auburn Fans, Bijoux’s bar will be airing the LSU and Auburn football game during the event.

The best part is that attendees will be tasting for a good cause. Proceeds from the event benefit Sinfonia Gulf Coast, enriching and expanding the traditional orchestral experience through unique artistic disciplines and collaborations, and enhancing Northwest Florida's cultural vitality.

Guests must be 21 years of age or older. Admission to the event is $25 per person if purchased in advance and $35 on the day of the event. Tickets can be purchased at www.themarketshops.com
