Update on Destin Events this Weekend

With Tropical Storm Nate forecasted to make landfall in Louisana on Saturday evening/Sunday morning, we’ve received a number of calls regarding area events scheduled for this weekend. Most events are continuing with a few modifications. Here’s the updates as of  Friday: 

Destin Seafood Festival – This event was “officially” canceled, however, the bands and vendors tell us the show must go on! There will still be a great weekend of food, music and fun at the Destin Harbor and HarborWalk Village with live entertainment on Friday & Saturday and more than a dozen art and food vendors. Admission is free. Here’s the live music line-up: 

      Friday: 4pm – Roman Street; 6pm – Stoked Hypnotic Comedy Show; 7pm – Continuum; 9pm Heritage

     Saturday: 11am – The Village Belles, 1pm – Deja Vue Band, 3:30pm & 4:30pm – Stoked Hypnotic Comedy Show, 7pm -  Flash Flood, 9pm – Fireworks (weather permitting), 10pm – Fire Spinning Show

Bloody Mary Festival – The 3rd Annual Bloody Mary Festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 11am to 2 p.m. at the Market Shops at Sandestin. This year’s Festival welcomes many favorite restaurants, bars and culinary artists from around South Walton and Destin. The much anticipated event will feature Bloody Marys with Cathead Vodka from the area’s top restaurants, craft beer from Grayton Beer Company, memories captured by Epic Photo Co., bubbly bar, local eats, live music by Luke Langford Band and more. Duck Regatta at Sandestin - The 2017 Emerald Coast Duck Regatta has been cancelled and the public prize drawing of the duck numbers will be held at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast, located at 7800 US Hwy. 98 W, in Miramar Beach, FL at 1 PM on Friday, October 13, 2017. Prize winners will be notified by phone or email.  

The Village of Baytowne Wharf will remain open with merchants and activities continuing with regularly scheduled hours. 

Destin Commons will remain open, including Movie Theater, restaurants and retail shops keeping their regularly scheduled hours. On Saturday, Oct. 7, at 8 p.m., World of Beer hosts Rock the Mic - Karaoke Night.
