Gulf Coast Inshore Charters - Fishing for fun!

This week, we're delighted to have Scott Fais of Central Florida News 13 in Orlando and Bay News 9 in Tampa visiting South Walton and the Destin, Fla. area. We've greatly enjoyed showing him around and uncovering some of the special experiences here in Northwest Florida for his program, Florida on a Tankful.

His first adventure was an inshore fishing excursion in the Choctawhatchee Bay, courtesy of Captain Clint Hood of Gulf Coast Inshore Charters. Scott has heard that Destin is known as the world's luckiest fishing village and that there are plenty of red snapper, grouper and cobia to be caught out in the gulf. But for this adventure, he wanted to go off the beaten path and explore the beauty of the tributaries and fishing among the oyster reefs in Choctawhatchee Bay.

The fun morning on the water resulted in some fun catches, including catfish, blue fish and even a gar, and he was nice enough to leave the delicious red fish and speckled trout for the next group. During the trip he was delighted to spot a school of dolphins, a baby alligator, migratory birds all while enjoying the serenity and beauty of the Bay while waiting for the next catch.

Stay tuned for more Scott's adventures in Northwest Florida...
