Things to Do in Destin-The Emerald Coast Theatre Company

A question we’re often asked is “what is there for families to do in Destin at night?” While there are attractions such as The Track with Go-Karts, games and mini-golf as well as the Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin with its Adventure Zone, there are also family-friendly performances to keep families entertained long after the sun goes down.

Laugh Out Loud with the Family Comedy Improv Show

This summer the Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) is staging a Family Comedy Improv Show at the Bart Rockett Theater at HarborWalk Village on the Destin Harbor. On Fridays and Sundays at 7:30 p.m., now through August 12, 2016, the Family Comedy Improv Show will have audiences laughing out loud.

The show is similar to the popular television series “Who’s Line Is It Anyway?” and creates interaction among the actors and the audience. Audience suggestions help develop the plot, scenes and characters of the sketches as the show unfolds.  The comedy show features the quick wit and humorous minds of local talents such as Laura Holloway, John Michael McDonald, Justin McLendon, Jason Mueller, Dylan Garofalo, Gloria Halsell, Charis Sellick (Walker), Justin Duncan, Jason Blanks, Valerie Bogar, Lizzie Zinszer, Teance Blackburn, Savage Bell and Cana Sylvester.

Ticket prices are $20 for Adults, $15 for Children and $150 for a VIP Booth that seats six.  To purchase tickets or learn more visit emeraldcoasttheatre.org or call (850) 687-1637.

Would your kids rather be in the show?

Consider signing them up for an ECTC 3- Hour Magic & Theatre Camp (Ages 7-12)

Participants will be able to leave camp and “wow” their friends and family.  Kids will have fun, laugh, meet new friends, and make their parents disappear for 3 hours.

Camp Hours: 2-5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week through July 28, 2016
