2018 Races in Destin and South Walton

It’s that time of year! Time to make resolutions, and at the top of the list, we're guessing it says "be more active.” So, why not start by training for a race down at the beach, and reward yourself with a trip to the white sandy beaches of South Walton and Destin, Florida? It is race season along the Emerald Coast and we've compiled a list of races and marathons that support some really great local causes. Let’s start 2018 off right! 

Seaside School Half Marathon and 5K Run- Located in Seaside, this race weekend starts on Friday, March 2nd, with Taste of the Race, and the actual race is Sunday, March 4th. Both races start and end at the Seaside Post Office. 100% of profits from the race go towards benefiting the Seaside school. For more information, check out their website. 

6th Annual Rock the Road 5k & 10K- Located at the Destin Brewery, come rock the road February 24th and then enjoy some local brews, food trucks and live music! All proceeds will be benefitting the Junior League of the Emerald Coast. The Junior League is a group of women who donate their time and efforts into many local charities to help make our Emerald Coast a better place. For more information, check out their Facebook page.

26th Annual Valentine’s 8K “Kiss ‘Em to the Finish” Road Race- Located at The Track, the course takes you through Indian Bayou and finished back at The Track. You can sign up as a single or a couple, and the top 5 couples will receive special awards for their achievements. After the race, enjoy great food and beverages hosted by The Back Porch. The Pensacola Double Bridge Run- Located at the bridge in Pensacola on February 3rd, the 15K course takes you over the breath taking Pensacola Bay and the Santa Rosa Sound. While staying in Destin, you can travel and explore Pensacola Beach and the Gulf Islands Seashore after the race. For more information, check out their website.
