Destin is Open for Business - Recovery Efforts Underway For Our Neighbors to the East

The World's Luckiest Fishing Village has lived up to its name, just barely dodging Hurricane Michael. It’s an odd feeling looking at our beautiful beaches and knowing that just a few miles east there is mass destruction. Newman-Dailey is thankful to all of those who have reached out in concern and we are determined to help the community in any way we can.

Northwest Florida is resilent and this community along with our friends around the country are banning together to be part of Hurricane Michael Relief efforts. The outpouring of support for affected commuinities has been humbling and there is still so much more to be done.

HOW NEWMAN-DAILEY IS SUPPORTING RELIEF EFFORTS

These items will be donated through repuatable local groups including the Rotary Club of Destin, Walton Area Chamber of Commerce, local churchs and Catholic Charities.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

For the those who have asked, "what else can we do to help", here are other ideas:

Volunteer
The need for volunteers is great. If you would like to volunteer with Michael’s recovery efforts, please visit www.volunteerflorida.org/ and fill out the volunteer form or call Volunteer Florida at 1-800-FLHELP1 (354-3571). Please know that teams are still working to assess damage in the areas affected the greatest by Hurricane Michael.

Buy the T-Shirt

Visit South Walton and the 30A® lifestyle brand have partnered to raise funds to benefit neighboring counties that suffered devastating losses. The tourism industry is banning together and every single dollar of every sale is going directly to relief efforts. And each super-soft SHORE UP shirt is made from eight recycled plastic bottles. Click here to learn more about how to purchase your Shore Up shirt and show your support.
