Fourth of July is an exciting time to visit Florida’s Emerald Coast. The days are filled with fun in the sun while the night sky is lit up with fireworks.

South Walton and Destin have lots of great events to help you have the perfect Independence Day celebration. Here is a list of events and fireworks to help you plan your 4th of July celebration in and around Destin, Florida.

Fourth of July Eve

July 3 – Star Spangled Food Truck Festival - 5:00 – 9:30 p.m.

Destin Commons is hosting its inaugural Star-Spangled Food Truck Festival where you can try tasty foods from the area’s best food trucks. Twenty-five food trucks will line the streets of Destin Commons where you can indulge in scrumptious Thai food, mouth-watering grilled cheese, and everything in between. In between the food extravaganza, you can enjoy live music from Duchess and Tobacco Road Band, and the evening will conclude with the grandest fireworks display on the coast. Learn more here. 

Fourth of July

July 4 – AJ’s Grayton Beach 4^th of July Celebration – 8:00 a.m. 

Join AJ's Grayton Beach for the Grayton Beach 4th of July Parade. They’ll have a stilt walker and free hotdogs for parade watchers from 8-10 am. And then join them later that evening for live music on the Main Stage.

July 4 – South Walton 4^th of July Parade- 8:00 a.m.

Join the Seaside community in celebrating Independence Day with the annual South Walton 4th of July Parade along scenic 30A. The parade route starts at Seagrove Plaza and end in Seaside where the celebration begins. Off-site parking and free shuttles into Seaside are available from 6 a.m. until midnight from the public parking lot in Grayton Beach on Highway 283. Address: 25 Central Square, Seaside, FL – Parade End & 1505 County Rd 283 S, Grayton Beach, FL – for parking and shuttle.

July 4 – Red, White and Baytowne – 6:00 p.m.

With lots of fun family-friendly activities, lawn games, inflatables, kids crafts, face painting, live music and fireworks Baytowne has everything for an enjoyable fourth of July. Live music starts at 6 with fireworks following shortly after at 9:15 pm. Free and open to the public, blankets and lawn chairs encouraged. Address: 9300 Emerald Coast Pkwy, Miramar Beach, FL

July 4 – Destin Harbor/Harbor Walk Village 4^th of July celebration- 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. 

Head to Harbor Walk Village in Destin to celebrate the 4th of July Celebration and enjoy live music and entertainment throughout the evening that will be followed by a fireworks display at 9:15 PM.

July 4 - City of Destin Fireworks- 9:00 p.m.

Celebrate Independence Day with the City of Destin. The city is having a firework show over East Pass that will begin at 9 p.m. you can tune in to Z96 (96.5 FM) for the simulcast music.

This show can be enjoyed from Harbor Walk Village, the beaches along Gulf Shore Drive, most harbor front establishments, and from the deck of charter or leisure boats that anchor down for the show.

July 4 – Fireworks on Navarre Beach 9:00 – 9:30 p.m.

End your Independence Day celebration with a firework show over Navarre Beach at 9PM. Fireworks will be launched from Navarre Beach Marine Park so they will be visible from both the beach and east and west of the Navarre Beach Causeway bridge.

July 4 – Solaris Fireworks Dinner Cruise – 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. 

Don’t miss the boat on the ultimate 4th of July in Destin celebration on the water as you cruise into the sunset, enjoy coastal cuisines, and dance to live music. Turn your Wednesdays into a BLAST with the Okaloosa Island Fireworks Summer Series! Throw down a blanket or pull up a chair and bring the family to The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island. Make your Wednesdays "BOOM" with the Okaloosa Island Summer Fireworks happening at 9 PM each Wednesday through August 9, 2023. Visit the Destin Chamber website for more details.
