Destin lights up with holiday cheer during its festive Christmas tree lighting events. At Destin Commons, the season begins with a dazzling tree lighting during Santa’s grand arrival on November 21. Over at the Village of Baytowne Wharf, the Christmas tree lighting is woven into the “12 Nights of Lights” celebration and the Wednesday Night Concert Series, part of the seasonal festivities at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. On Nov. 29, from 3 to 8 p.m., the iconic town of Seaside, Florida hosts a lively parade and lighting of the town’s spectacular Christmas tree accompanied by a live performance by Emerald Coast Theatre Company at Krier Plaza. Families are invited to gather in the amphitheater for the grand lighting of the tree, with Santa himself officially ushering in the holiday season. Afterward, follow Santa to the Christmas Village for photos until 8:00 PM.
