South Walton

Located between Destin and Panama City Beach, South Walton includes 26-miles of sugar white sand beaches, turquoise water, and a strand of 15 charming beachside neighborhoods, including those along Scenic Highway 30A and Scenic Gulf Drive in Miramar Beach. 

With more than 40 percent of South Walton preserved with protected lands, there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventure and exploration. Take a hike along miles of trails within the four state parks or Point Washington State Forest. Try stand-up paddle boarding on one of the area's rare coastal dune lakes. Hop aboard a beach cruiser or electric bike and peddle along the paved Timpoochee Trail that spans the entire 19-mile stretch of Scenic 30A. Explore the beach neighborhoods to uncover local waterholes and boutique shops and art galleries. Or just sit back and relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the beaches of South Walton.
