This place is awesome! It's so comfy and very clean. We had fresh baked bread awaiting our arrival. The staff was so nice and communicated well before/during our stay. The location was fantastic. We did not try the cafe, but it was always packed. This was our first time staying there, but we will not stay anywhere else in Destin now!

I LOVED staying at the Beachside Inn! The location was perfect, being so close to the beach, bars and local restaurants. The best part was not hearing my s/o showering at 5:30am, allowing me to sleep! The room was spacious, cozy, clean and comfortable. Super cute decor of "old Destin". The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will be back!

There were 3 of us! We had the best time! The room was large and easily accommodated 3 women and our luggage! Location is fantastic and there is a coffee shop on site! There is also a wonderful restaurant on site as well! I highly recommend!!

I have stayed at a few properties in Destin and I can say with confidence, the Beachside Inn in the cleanest friendliest place to stay. Kellie, Angi, Brandi and staff were PERFECT! The room was immaculate and the perfect size with room to spare. We were gifted with being the first guests to stay on the brand new beds and to say we were pleased is an understatement. We will certainly stay again!

Well, we had a little trouble getting our code to work to get into our room but Kellie and Peggy came and worked it out for us and once we finally got in it was great... Bed and pillows were very comfortable, bathroom area and shower were nice and very stylish, and the banana bread was SO good. The beach was just a few steps across the street and we very much enjoyed our stay. The Beachside Inn is a colorful, classy, and well-kept piece of "Old Florida"!

5th year to stay here! We love it and love Kelly and Peggy and all of the staff. So clean, friendly, and great beach access. Convenience, comfort, and a great bang for your buck. For our family, with kids 4, 6 and 9 years, this was a perfect little house in a very quit area. Even though Maleme is a small village, there is an excellent super market and several affordable restaurants within walking distance.
We cooked at least one meal every day in the well equipped kitchen. The pool in the garden was perfect for kids during day, and parents in the late evenings. If we wanted to swim in a bigger pool we visited one of the hotels near the beach. The hotels are fine with using their facilities as long as you buy something to drink from their bar.
For the kids, with towels and swim gear it took no more than 10 minutes walk down to the beach. We did not have a car, instead we took a taxi from the airport and arranged for the driver to pick us up in Maleme at the day for our trip home. The cost was about 45 euros for each direction and a 40 min drive.

the apartment is very well situated close to the main bus station and to the harbor which is ideal if you want to travel further. Close to the old city as well.
Really modern looking and very clean offering a great bed / shower and kitchen.

The property was perfect, clean and fully equipped, we were allowed to use whatever we wanted or needed. The owner, a charming lady, did her very best to make sure we did not lack anything. She even provided us with fresh fruits and vegetables :) We loved spending evenings on the spacious terrace, contemplating the spectacular and stunning view. There is a nice beach a few minutes walk form the property, you only need to go straight down the road, which is quite steep though (but totally worth the view). We had a great time in Podstrana and we strongly recommended this apartment!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans un lodge très bien équipé, avec pour seul vis à vis les arbres de la forêt. De nombreuses activités à proximité. Nos préférées : baignades dans le fleuve, avec l'impression d'être seuls au monde et les randonnées. Le terrain dispose d'une piscine et d'un jacuzzi, ce qui est fort appréciable après une journée de rando ! Bien que le chalet dispose d'une cuisine et d'une terrasse avec une table, chaises et transat, nous avons souvent dîné A Stazzona, La pizzeria de Ghisoni (les pizzas sont tout simplement succulentes), qui nous a aussi régalé d'autres plats. Nous avons rencontré la propriétaire du chalet, qui est une personne très chaleureuse et accueillante. Donc pour résumé : tranquillité, activités natures, belles rencontres, gourmandises, authenticité. (pour info, nous étions un couple avec un adolescent)

We had such a great time. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The price was unbelievable. I love that my two large dogs were allowed to stay with us and the neighborhood surrounding the hotel was great for their morning and evening walks. The beach is literally across the street and shopping and restaurants are only 2 or 3 blocks away--also walking distance. I will definitely want to stay here again!!!

I don't write many reviews but throughout our entire getaway (before our baby girl's arrival in July), we discussed how much we loved Beachside Inn! I can't say enough great things! Quaint beach neighborhood, the beach is across the street, Camille's cafe and the sushi restaurant are both amazing, staff is friendly, housekeeping is incredible, rooms are just right and the value is fantastic! We will stay again!

We have our own beach condo, but when it is booked or (now) under renovation we love to stay at Beachside! It is right where we need to be. It's close to Destin Commons and Bass Pro, but it's also just off the beach in a quiet neighborhood.
The restaurant is great for casual sushi or other meal, but what really sets it apart is the little check-in gift, the great beds, and very friendly staff. We make Beachside our headquarters anytime we can't stay in our condo.

We enjoyed our stay. it was right across the beach. This has been the best motel that is Dog friendly that we have stayed at so far. Loved that it had tile flooring that was a plus for us. The Bed was Sooo comfortable. We will most definitely come back and stay here in the future.

We stayed over the Thanksgiving holidays and enjoyed our stay. We had our two dogs Simba and Nala with us and it was nice to be in a dog friendly place. Staff is friendly and helpful. We would love to return soon.

We recently spend a few days at your hotel, the premises were clean and staff very friendly and the location perfect.
It was occasionally hard to find a parking spot and on the lower floor with other guests walking by and being very loud it was disturbing. but all in all the value for the price was very good and I am sure we would consider returning for another visit.

Had a great trip! Love staying at beachside inn with our family. Kelly and Peggy are so accomodating and friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. Homemade bread is a big hit with our family. Beach access is great. And we love Camille's! We plan to see you next year.

Moderately priced, the Beachside has dog friendly rooms. Tiled floors are understandable for a pet room. The room was quiet even though the area can be busy. The Beachside is right across the street from the public beach and very accessible (beaches in Destin seem to be privately owned and you can't wander and set up where you like). Special kudos to the beach supply rental store onsite; they went out of their way to help me.
Destin is not particularly dog friendly, this hotel is.

We had such a great time at the Beachside Inn. We stayed in room 103, which ad a full king size bed that was as soft and comfortable as the one we left at home. The water pressure was great, the bathroom was roomy, and the people were courteous. Instead of having a breakfast buffet, the beachside inn provided us with a "breakfast bread" that was lemon poppy-seed flavor. It was delicious and we ended up also using it as a nice midnight after-beach snack.
The location is within walking distance of the beach while carrying chairs, coolers, and an umbrella without any issue. The beach was clean and there are showers and restrooms between the hotel and the beach.
The only complaint I have is parking can be a slight annoyance when it's busy. In the evenings the parking is not restricted to guests only, so people can and will steal your spot near your room. It's a pain when you and the family want to journey out for dinner, only to return to find no spots available. The cones, which are meant to reserve a spot, simply do not work. People are jerks and will move them without concern.
Overall despite this I would still stay here again. The pet-friendly nature of the facility, free ice, and excellent mattress make it a great place to vacation!

This was our first time visiting Destin, FL. I was apprehensive about selecting hotels because I didn't want to pick something that was trashy, too far away from the beach and entertainment, or expensive. This hotel had everything I was hoping for! Its literally steps from the beach, it had its own restaurant, there were scooter rentals right in front, the room was very nice and clean, and the price was extremely affordable! Having children made our stay at the Beachside Inn a pleasant experience. I highly recommend it. The only down side was that it wasnt close to the boardwalk like other hotels, so it depends on what you want... convenient distance to the beach or the boardwalk.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Beachside Inn with our Bernese Mountain Dog and have nothing but positive feedback. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the Inn was clean with super friendly staff. I highly recommend the Cafe for breakfast and lunch. The beach was a super speedy walk across a non busy street. I would and plan to definitely return to Beachside Inn!

Recently, my boyfriend and I decided to take a last-minute trip to Destin and found The Beachside Inn online while traveling to the beach. We knew the location, but were unfamiliar with the motel. Feeling adventurous, we called and booked while on our way. Best Decision Ever! Our room was ready and clean early when we arrived, with no wait time. We immediately went to Camille's (cafe) and enjoyed the best sushi we've ever eaten! This motel has friendly staff, Camille's restaurant and cafe which offers great food and drinks, it's literally right across from the beach with a convenient location to Destin. Rooms are spacious and very clean. This is definitely our new favorite place!!!

This is our 4th time to stay at the Beachside Inn. We enjoy being able to walk across the street to a great beach. Have tea at the small cafe on the corner in the morning and enjoy the ease and quite of our accommodations. The staff has always been helpful and friendly. We will be staying there again the next time we are in Destin.

The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Our room was very nice; the bathtub was large, which was nice. We were only there one night, so I can't comment on the amenities. If we had had more time, we would have enjoyed the beach across the street. What we liked least was the early check-out time which was 10 a.m. We have never stayed at any other place that had such an early check-out time. It can be inconvenient when you arrive late the night before and need to sleep a little longer. However, I will say that the staff was very nice in extending our check-out time to 11 a.m.

This is an older & beachier motel (updated)... not like the white-wine condos & Hiltons that are everywhere now. I stayed here for over a week -- I had planned to use it to scout the area for a dog-friendly condo or house to rent (there aren't many available), but decided to stay. Kellie & Peggy & Salina are delightful and took care of everything I needed. They made a fuss over Carly, my Westie -- most places act as though a dog is a nuisance, even a well-behaved one. The cafe has an outdoor area (Carly was even invited inside) & I was blessed with sunny weather so it worked well. I had never had a vanilla cream stuffed pretzel before but ended up buying one every day... and additional ones for local friends & family I visited who raved about them. Camille's is the upstairs evening restaurant (there is a separate bar which I did not go into) with a view of the gulf -- I had very good shrimp, scallops & steak there. I would think it would be a noisy place to stay during the summer & spring break -- the parking lot hilarity is substancial as people leave the restaurant & bar. At the end of October I only really noticed it on Saturday nights... the one time it was crowded. The bed was outstanding, so good I asked Kellie what kind it was and she found out for me (I may order one for my house). One big downside -- no comfortable chair or reading light -- the four chairs at the table are rock-hard so I had to read in bed. Peggy said they are working on adding them in each unit. Since this is a condo motel it could be a problem if you want to check in after 5 PM. I will definitely go back since I always visit my family in the off-season down there and this is the perfect place to take my dog (I hate leaving her at home in a kennel). I don't know if I would stay there during the peak times... but most places in FL are a hassle that time of year (which is why I don't go then).

We rented in the BeachSide Inn in Destin, Florida. The room was a King with a minifridge and microwave. The furnishing were very nice, had a quiet relaxing time, in a great location. My suggestions for improvements would be a better breakfast offering. We also had a leak in the ceiling, possibly from the above unit air conditioner. All the staff were very nice.

We chose the Beachside Inn for our 30th wedding anniversity after reading reviews on line and it was a pet friendly place to stay. The service was great. Jess at the front desk made every thing very easy. The room was clean and lots of room to move around in. The location was great. The beach was just across the road and the sandwich shop had the best food.Amenities were great with two pools and hot tub and plenty of chairs for siting out in.Location is close to local resturants. We liked the rooms, not noisey, quite concering pets were there. Liked the ease of walking or renting a bike.What I liked least was just having a muffin and drink in the mornings but they were good. Thought for the money you might get a little more. We would stay there again. It was a wonderful 30th anniversity. Enjoyed our stay very much.

My husband and I love the Beachside Inn and have stayed there several times. Everyone in the office is super friendly. Facilities are nice, its a great location, close to shopping and dining. Beach access is convenient and hassle free. This place has become a tradition for us, we will see ya again next year.

The reservation process was easy. Directions to the property, as well as instructions on check-in were received in a timely fashion. Upon arrival, the clerk was very helpful and thorough. Our king room was very spacious and clean...perfect for our 6 month old. We loved the pool and the easy access to the beautiful beaches. A lovely restaurant and cafe on-site makes it easy to dine out with a little one. I love the smaller, boutique type hotels and the fact that we were surrounded by cute beach houses. The markets, etc are not to far away if needed. The maids were very friendly and personable. I have recommended this property to my family and friends. We will definitely be back!

Chose this hotel because of its pet-friendly option. Check in was a breeze. Loved the code for the door instead of carrying around a key. Tile floor was great for it being a pet friendly place since tile is easy to clean and doesnt catch hair, dirt, and sand. My only complain was because of the tile floor sound was not muffled at all from our room and from any other room. The location to beach was ideal and the included breakfast wasn't for much but the muffins they offered were delicious! Staff was super friendly and accomodating. Cleaning crew was helpful and precise. If you're traveling with your dog, this hotel is 1mile from the most beautiful dog park I have ever been to.

perfect, the beach was just across the street. The room was clean and had everything we needed.I liked the tile floors, made it seem cleaner than carpet. It was just the 2 of us so we didn't want anything too big and expensive.
Jess at the front desk was very helpful. Even though we didn't get a chance to use them, the bike and scooter rental
is a great convenience. If ever back in Destin, we will be back.

We have and plan on always using Newman-Daily each time we come to Destin. This is our 4th time down in the last 7 or so years and we have never been disappointed. The Beachside Inn was very nice and right across the street from the ocean. The staff was very pleasant. Camilles restaurant at the Beachside is one of the top rated restaurants in Destin which we did not know and it I agree. The sushi bar has a large menu and it was some of the best we had ever had. The only thing we wish had been different was the fact that there was not a comfortable chair in our room. The fours chairs were typical hardwood card table chairs and after a couple days you realize something is missing. But, your on vacation and not spending that much time in the room.

The location of the hotel and the rooms were very nice. However, I did not find my king-size bed comfortable since it would sink in the middle. Also, the continental breakfast had very little to choose from.

1 year anniversary trip. called on phone and booked hotel from home. asked for 2nd floor room and payed w/ credit card, getting the military discount. i even called a few days later to confirm my price reservations. got there to check in and they had switched around rooms for some reason and we ended up on 1st floor plus they didn't have my credit card on file to i had to pay there--it was a big pain because front desk lady wasn't going to give me the military discount at first. they did give us a free bottle of champagne as an apology (cool, but we don't really like champagne--but we took it anyway).
the room was pretty nice, very large and open and the bed was comfortable. however, at night we could hear our drunk neighbors through the door that can connect rooms if you had a family staying together. free breakfast in the morning was okay. we swam in the pool--it was nice but dirty with leaves floating in it--the pool cleaner guy showed up and started cleaning the pool--so we left. overall, pretty nice trip, not the best, but it's a nice location if you like the beach and the destin commons outdoor mall.

We loved the location and the short walk to the beach.
The restaurant and sushi bar were awesome, great staff!
Felt very at home.
It was a quiet place & short drive to everything we wanted to do.
The room was comfortable & clean, however we did notice 3-4 cockroaches that would hide in the morning when we turned the bathroom light on.
Overall, we loved it, and would stay there again.

Our trip to Beachside Inn was fantastic. We didn't know what to expect when we booked the room because it was so inexpensive, but this trip was unforgettable. The staff was very pleasant and our stay was trouble free. The location is unbeatable and breakfast coupons to Camille's are a great touch. We'll definitely be back!

The only bad thing is my wife has been looking for the quilt set that was on the bed. She loved it. I think the lady there was Eunice, she was great. Helpfull funny and even gave the name of the bedding to my wife. I wish we could have stayed longer, but will definately stay there next time. Clean, bright and close to what we needed.

This was a nice quaint Motel. Location of course was probably the most favorable factor. The grounds were neat and well kept. The pool area was nice, however lounge chairs were very uncomfortable and limited in quantity. The room was rather large, with a very comfortable bed and good size T.V. However, I did not find it to be "plush" so to speak, validating the almost $200.00 per day for a week night stay "Off Season". The bathroom was not attractive or modernized at all, and the vanity area was limited as well, with only one sink and mirror, directly near the bathroom. I am well traveled, and a $200.00 per night room can be found on Daytona beach or Fort Lauderdale "directly on the beach" in reputable chains such as a Hilton, Mariot, or Sheratin, with much better accomodations inside, and throughout the hotel. So in this respect I was dissapointed.
If the room was maybe approximately $100.00 per night during the week, I would say it was great for that rate. However, in comparison to other stays on similar properties, I would not recommend it.

The room we had was perfect, the location was perfect, the service was perfect. The one and only problem we had with our stay was that it wasn't the first place we stayed.

We found the room to be clean, spacious and comfortable. The service at the office was very good.

Employees at this property are the best!!! Room had a few issues. Comforter was dirty it had red spots like blood on it!!! UGHHHH!!!! Grout on the tile floor is dirty! Room needs a place to sit other than bed, and hard wooden table chair! Also the tile sidewalk entering room has a very dangerous bulk in it I tripped on it 2 times, and my husband tripped, and ripped a toenail off, and ended up having to go to clinic!

This Inn is off the beaten path and just steps from the beautiful crystal beach area. Although it is not quite a five star, It is very comfortable and the staff are great. The restaurant at the Inn has fabulous food, as a result parking in front of your room, if you are not already in it before 5 pm, is impossible. When the dinner crowd leaves you can get your spot back :) Our family likes to eat where the locals do and not so much tourist traps....we had some really good food in the area. It is just a short ride to the Destins Commons shopping mall....wow at the stores!!! We will go back and stay with Nrewman-Daily again, they treated us like family :)
Next time I think we may try one of their houses :)

I found the Beachside Inn during an internet search. Unfortunately we were only in Destin for one night but we certainly plan to return and will certainly try the Beachside for availability. Our room was large and very inexpensive and the location is perfect - literally a stone's through from the beach.

I loved staying at Beachside Inn because of its convenient location, great price, and great room! Overall, my boyfriend and I loved our time at Beachside Inn and would definitely consider going back someday. The only complaint I have is that the flowers in our room were dead and wilted. =(

We found the Beachside Inn as a spir of the moment trip..It was as nice if not nicer than some of the condos we have stayed in down in Florida! Clean and quaint accomodations along with the wonderful staff was a keypoint that made our stay so much fun! We will definitely be back in 2009 and hopefully many times! Thanks for making our weekend one the best in 2008!

I really enjoyed my stay at this poperty I intend to return. It was very clean, very friendly staff and what a great pool. I have limited vacation time but I will return in 2009.
