Wonderful property and great location! We weren't far from the beach easy walk even for 6 kids and 4 adults. The pool was a life saver due to the fact there was double red flags on the beach and we couldnt go in the water. We went with another family of 5 and had plenty of room! I cant say enough good things.

Had a great time at the house. Beautiful house and neighborhood. It was clean and the pool was smaller than I thought it would be but it was perfect to keep an eye on the kids. They kid’s absolutely loved the pool. It was close enough to the beach that we walked there multiple times.

My husband and I were in town for a wedding that was at the nearby Henderson Resort. We wanted to be nearby, but preferred the perks of being in a home vs resort. The house was very nice, and lots of space for a big group. It was just the two of us for this trip, but this would be a great place for a large group including families or multiple couples. There is a first floor bedroom with bath, and two additional baths on the 2nd floor that offered privacy for both the bedrooms on that level as well. You are very close to the beach, and it is definitely walkable. I would suggest looking in to a golf cart rental if you prefer not to walk. The vehicle parking can be limited at peak times, but there seems to be more availability for golf carts in some of the nearby lots. We also spent some time going to the state park beach nearby. The is a small entry fee (I believe $6/day), but it has really nice facilities and was less busy then some of the other areas. The only item that I would suggest is that some of the cooking pans and pots are replaced or added. There was plenty of dishes and even baking items, but the home is in need of some additional cookware. We were able to make it work since we were only cooking for two, but this could be more difficult for a larger group if you plan to cook meals at the house. The pool was also nice, and probably one of our favorite parts of the house. There is also a community pool, but the convenience and privacy of the pool at the house was definitely worth it. Overall, the property and management was great and they went above and beyond to keep us informed and provide info for anything we needed. I would definitely recommend this house and Newman Dailey!

This property was perfect for our get away and very spacious. One set of grandparents stayed on the main floor, perfect for their room, no stairs. My husband and I stayed on the second floor in the master. My sister and mom shared the other room on the second floor. We had 3 kids ages 9, 7 and 5 who shared the bunk beds on the 3rd floor. There is a balcony off the master and 3rd floor. We told the kids not to open that balcony door without an adult. Keep that in mind if you have really young kids. The private pool was a hit! The kids enjoyed the pool more than the beach! The pool is small, so perfect for kids and parents. Kids will always be within a quick reach. The walk to the beach was 5 min. And that was with 3 kids and carrying all of our stuff. Location is great. Pretty close to the water park, harbor, and outlets. Balcony chairs need to be replaced, that's the only negative, which isn't a big deal.

We enjoyed our stay very much, the pool was great for the kids, the walk to the beach was only 2 mins. They had bikes we were able to use, we would take our morning and evening rides on the bike around the area, which was great. The place was very clean. Everything was close by. Destin Harbor was less than 15 mins away. Overall we enjoyed everyday of our vacation. Thank you!!!!

We loved this property. It was ideal for our group. Plenty of room to spread out and have your own space. 5-7 min walk to the beach. Having your own pool is wonderful. Grocery shopping only a mile away. Can’t say enough about how much we all loved our stay.

Ocean Mist was perfect for an additional house needed for our annual reunion.
The house was very clean and appeared to have been recently updated.
We have stayed in the Crystal Shiores neighborhood for many years and love the location.
Some of the homes in Crystal Shores have very limited parking but Oceam Mist easily could have accommodated four cars.
Newman Dailey always exceeds our expectations with the professional management of their rental properties.

Our family LOVED our stay! The house was perfectly located for access to the beach and to shopping. We walked in the mornings for exercise and then down to the beach for the rest of the day. The neighborhood was beautifully landscaped and peaceful. We can't wait to get back again next year.

There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room to spread out. A quick walk to the beach took less than 5 minutes. One of our favorite features was the outdoor heated shower by the pool. The pool is small, but plenty big for the kids to play for hours. The property manager was amazing and even brought us some amazing homemade bread. I would highly recommend this place for families or any one just looking for a great place, close to the beach.

My first experience with Newman-Dailey and they were great. A representative called me the day before check in and gave me updated information. The office staff on our arrival day were friendly and helpful.
The property was very good. Great location with an easy walk to the beach and easy drive to shopping and restaurants. We made daily use of the pool and cooked outside on the grill a couple of times. The kitchen was stocked with all necessary items and we cooked in breakfast every morning and most lunches. The bedrooms were comfortable each with their own bath.
There was some remodel work going on that did not interfere with our stay.
We would definitely use Newman-Dailey again and recommend the Ocean Mist Cottage.

This beautiful home was perfect for our family vacation. The location couldn't have been better, short walk to the beach, restaurants and the shopping options were amazing. We spent most of our time between the pool and the beach. We are already planning our trip for next year.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. This was our 2nd year staying at the Ocean Mist Cottage and it was great!!! Newman Daily is an excellent. They are very courteous and their check in process is super easy. We arrived a few hours earlier than expected and we was able to check in right away..I would definitely recommend them for a future stay..This property is beautiful. It was another great winter for us (number 8) in the Ocean Mist Cottage! We were there from late October 2013 until mid- March of 2014. And we highly recommend it for spring, summer, or fall. This is a great 3 BR house that is nicely done inside. My wife loved it. More than enough room for the four of us. We had a minor problem with the pool and one of the beds in the 2nd floor guest room and someone was out that same day to fix both problems. 3 minute walk to the beach access. Within walking distance to Camille's. The pool was a little small but that didn't keep us from enjoying it every night. The boys especially loved the pool. The only disappointment is the house did not have any beach chairs or an umbrella to take to the beach. We flew down, so we bought a couple chairs and an umbrella and left them behind for those who might follow us. Bottom line, we would stay here again, so what else can you say? Great place, great service, great location. Great vacation. Memories for a lifetime.

We spent two weeks in Ocean Mist and loved the house and the neighborhood. Short walk to the beach that even the 2 year old could easily make carrying her sand bucket! The house was very clean and property well maintained. We enjoyed evenings in the pool or a beverage one of the 3 porches. Very close to great shopping & restaurants.

Ocean Mist is located very close to the beach. It was about a 3 block walk to the beach. While there, the weather was not the best, but it was surprising how much we spent near the pool too. The house was in good condition and in a very nice neighborhood. It is close to shopping and the golf courses. Newman- Dailey was very responsive to our needs and we would not hesitate to rent through their company again. We took advantage of some of the discounts they offered too.

Our family and extended family (totaling 9)had all the space we needed and then some. The home was beautiful and the location is ideal. The walk to the beach is very short, taking just a couple of minutes. Even the 3 year old didn't mind the walk. The home has plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as general living space, allowing us to be together but not right on top of each other. The pool is a perfect size to relax in! The home is also close to all types of shopping and activities. Newman-Dailey made check in and check out very simple, even with us arriving very late on the day of check in. We want to go back to the home every year!!!

We loved this cute little cottage. It was our slice of paradise in Destin. The upstairs widow watch had a view of the Gulf where we could sit out and drink a glass of wine and watch the sun go down. We were just a few steps to the beach and the neighborhood was very quiet.

WE LOVE Ocean Mist! It has been our Florida home for seven winters. The cottage is just perfect for us in every way. And, it would be a great choice for anyone looking for a place to stay during the spring, summer, or fall. It is located a half block from the Gulf of Mexico in the Crystal Beach area of Destin. Yet, our neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. Our street is a meandering circle lined with small picket fenses. We observe palm trees, feel warm breezes, and see the ocean every day - even from our top deck! Everything is close: the emerald green waters, the sugar white sand, wonderful restaurants, great places for walking and riding bikes, golf courses, movie theatres, doctors, dentists, a hospital, Destin Commons, Silver Sands Outlet Mall, and much, much more. Newman-Dailey, property managers for the cottage, takes good care of us and fulfills any need we may have. The owner makes upgrades and improvements on a regular basis in order to make the home more pleasing and comfortable for occupants. The owner of this adorable beach cottage has completed numerous projects over the past few months. Newman-Dailey appreciates our hands-on owners who take time to keep their home away from home in the best condition possible. Here are a few of the projects the owner has completed recently: new outdoor patio furniture, the pool was completely resurfaced, flat screen televisions throughout the entire home, Blue-Ray player added to the living room entertainment center, new bedding set for the master bedroom and one year ago a new AC system inside and out.
This is a perfect home for a family getaway or a much needed break for mom and dad. No matter the reason I guarantee you will enjoy your stay at Oceanmist Cottage!

You can almost feel the Ocean or in this case Gulf mist at this adorable home. We immediately felt comofortable and relaxed. The location was perfect for our family. The little ones enjoyed the pool. You can tell the owner takes pride and continues to keep the home in great condition. The wood floors are beautiful and all the flat screen tv's came in handy on a day of rain, everyone was able to watch movies and kids played games. We really enjoy the Crystal Beach area and hope to be back again next year. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

My husband and I got married in Destin Beach 12 years ago. We actually got married in the Hudson Blendhiem(Newman Dailey property). We love Destin and come almost every year since we were married. We have stayed in multiple properties but the Ocean Mist is our favorite. The pool is very nice and private. We love the 3rd floor deck (my husband calls it his crows nest)It feels like home when we stay there.
