This is the Place by Suzanna Hoffs - South Walton Soundtrack to Summer

Many enjoy the relaxing sounds of the beach, including the sound of waves lapping the shore, seagulls calling as they fly overhead, and children's laughter. Now, South Walton, which includes Miramar Beach, Santa Rosa Beach and 30A, has an "official song." 

Susanna Hoffs of the Bangles loves our beaches too! Known for hits, including "Walk Like An Egyptian," "Manic Monday" and "Eternal Flame," Hoffs recently recorded a song for South Walton called "This is the Place."  Listen to the song here: "This is the Place" to hear Hoffs rendition of what South Walton means to her.

The area's beaches are irresistible to many talented musicians, including many who visit for the 30A Songwriters Festival and Moon Crush Concert Series each year. Celebrity songwriters, including Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, Amy Grant and Vince Gill and Kellie Pickler, are regulars to the area's beach towns. Some musicians have also purchased homes including Luke Bryan who recently sold his beachfront South Walton home in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, for $12.95 million.
