2019 Destin Real Estate Forecast

Are you interested in real estate investments in Destin, Florida?

Whether you currently own property along the Emerald Coast or are considering a future purchase, it is always advantageous to take a look at current market conditions and sales prices as a predictor for guaging the market. Destin, Miramar Beach, and the 30A area are all showing signs of high demand with new construction and renovations galore. Here's a look at few highlights of projects along the Gulf Coast:

In late spring of 2018, Seaside began making changes to its community by moving the historic Seaside post office to another area in its Seaside Square.  The Post Office Plaza change is just the first of many steps that they will be making, which will ultimately lead to the construction of the Krier Tower. The Krier Tower, which was included in the original plans for Seaside, will be an architectural landmark that will be designed by renowned architect Léon Krier. Seaside’s downtown area will be seeing new changes to its beachwalk area as well as to its town square. These breathtaking developments are anticipated to add beauty as well as increase awareness and interest in Scenic Highway 30A.

To the east of Seaside on Highway 30A, Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach are also experiencing exciting new improvements. Alys Beach is constructing a 15,000 square foot fitness center that will be designed by Nequette Architecture & Design, a Birmingham, AL-based architecture firm.  The layout of the ZUMA Fitness Center will have a strong emphasis on natural light in every room of the building while being surrounded by gorgeous courtyards.

In fact, beach towns all along 30A’s 24-mile bike path, The Timpochee Trail, are experiencing new construction. In Seagrove Beach, Thirty One on 30A is a new exclusive condo with just 27 Gulf front residences sitting on 3.92 acres and 335 feet of beautiful, sugar sand beach. On the west side of 30A in Santa Rosa Beach, Costa Blanca stands as a brand new luxurious condominium that sits across from the Gulf Place Town Center.  To respond to the demand for access to the beach, Walton County has purchased three new beach accesses for nearly $27,000,000 to provide additional points for the public to reach the area’s coveted white sand beaches.

Destin and Miramar Beach have also experienced the addition of new communities. Hidden Palms is a new low-density 30 single-family residence community built by Boswell Builders that features three-story white stucco beach homes. The Retreat at Miramar offers 27 single-family homesites that range from four to seven bedrooms. Both of these communities are within walking distance to the beach and the beloved Pompano Joe’s Seafood Restaurant.  Frangista Beach and Crystal Beach are also experiencing a boost in new home construction.
